History[]
Pre-Ultraman Arc[]
Ze Su is one of the rulers of the galaxy from which Rution originates. Despite the harmonious relationships between the planets in this galaxy, a crisis emerged when the galaxy's central star, the Star Sonia, began to expand uncontrollably. If unchecked, this expansion would annihilate all life in the galaxy. Ze Su, who, through collaborative brainstorming, developed the "Ze Su Gate." This wormhole consisted of an entrance and several exits, capable of absorbing Sonia’s excess energy and releasing it into other galaxies.
However, one of the gate’s exit points was located near Earth in the Solar System. If this energy were unleashed, Earth would be incinerated instantly. Upon discovering that Earth harbored life, the other leaders voted to halt the gate’s activation until a safer solution could be devised. Despite their objections, Ze Su activated the gate, determined to prioritize the galaxy's survival over a single planet.
In response, the other leaders dispatched the Giant of Light, Rution, to Earth to seal the gate’s exit. In retaliation, Ze Su sent Monogelos to stop him. The incident ultimately concluded with Rution successfully sealing the Ze Su Gate, transforming it into a dark sphere, which fell to Earth. This event became the direct cause of the catastrophic "K-DAY" incident on the planet.[2]
Ultraman Arc[]
Sixteen years later, Ze Su launched a plan to reopen the Ze Su Gate. He first sent Digelos to attack Earth, followed by his trusted lieutenant Sweed and the galactic beast Zadime.
Despite Arc absorbing the Ze Su Gate to create the Galaxy Armor, the Ze Su Gate remained a persistent threat. Although the other leaders had spent years researching a way to halt Sonia’s expansion, their solution was fraught with uncertainties, which they sought to overcome as the formulation of their plan continued. Unwilling to wait, Ze Su took drastic action. He sent Trigelos to attack Hoshimoto City and instructed Sweed to bring Guilebaku, a being capable of manipulating dreams, to attempt reactivating the Ze Su Gate.[3]
Aware of Arc's actions, Ze Su formulated a ruthless plan to prevent Arc and Yuma from interfering. He sought to eliminate them by using the Onyx to poison them with chemicals from the Sonia star system. Over time, these chemicals severely weakened Arc, leaving him barely able to sustain his energy. Additionally, Ze Su’s forces intercepted communications from Arc/Rution’s ally, Biorno, isolating them further.[4]
After dispatching Sweed to Earth, Ze Su personally contacted her to issue an instruction: if her mission to stop Arc failed, her "key" would be unlocked. The Descending Dream
Ze Su's hologram briefly appeared after Guilebaku's defeat as he unlocked Sweed's Alien Form, and he appeared again when Sweed was destroyed, angrily shouting Rution's name as Sweed exploded. Exactly what became of Ze Su after this point is unknown, though his plan to destroy Earth had been foiled and evidently wasn't attempted again, as Yuma and Arc proceeded to leave Earth for three months to find a definitive way to end the crisis facing Star Sonia. Time to Run, Yuma!
