History[]
Ultraman Arc[]
The galactic beast Zadime was brought along to Earth by its master Sweed, who intended to use the Kaiju to retrieve the sealed end of the Ze Su Gate that Rution had displaced. When Yuma Hize and Shu Ishido were investigating abnormal frequencies from the Monohorn, Sweed sent out the Tesseractone from within Zadime's body to ambush the pair, and after Rution rescued the pair the Tesseractone returned to nest in Zadime as Sweed prepared her own countermeasures.
After Sweed retrieved the location of the sealed Ze Su Gate discharge point, also known as the Onyx, from Rution's memories, she commanded Zadime to deal with the weakened Ultraman Arc. The Ultra donned his Luna Armor and put up a mighty offensive against the galactic beast, but faltered when the Luna Sword Catcher was drained of its energy and reflected as a barrage of energy slashes, knocking him out of his armor. Zadime proceeded to pummel Arc into the ground, but thanks to Shu's intervention, the Ultra got back up and used the Arc Finalize. However, Zadime successfully countered by unleashing the Tesseractone to absorb the beam's energy, and later retreated into a wormhole.Flash of the Past
Later, Zadime reappeared and on Sweed's command began directing the Tesseractone to break the seal on the Onyx, with the GDF's attempts to stop the galactic beast proving futile as it effortlessly destroyed every last one of their fighters. After the SKIP arrived on-site, Ultraman Arc swooped in from the skies and tackled Zadime to the ground. Both giants were evenly matched until Sweed intervened to suspend Arc in place, allowing Zadime to approach the Onyx and continue its attacks.
Fortunately, with SKIP's cooperation, Arc broke free of Sweed's hold and donned the Solis Armor, pushing Zadime out of the way with his strength. With the power of imagination, the Ultra assimilated with the Onyx and obtained the Galaxy Armor. Zadime stood no chance against this newfound power, as the Tesseractone vanished within a dimensional subspace and it was forced to deal with the Ultra's extradimensional abilities. Zadime finally faced its demise and perished along with its master when Arc wielded the Arc Galaxer and finished them off with the Galaxer Finalize.
Unbeknownst to anyone, following the aftermath of the battle the remnants of Zadime's tail remained long enough to slice a small fissure in the fabric of space-time before fading into dust. The Wandering Future
Trivia[]
- Suit actor: Shun Takahashi
- Just like how Monogelos and its brethren are seen as the Ultraman Arc equivalent to Zetton in the original Ultraman, Zadime appears to be the Ultraman Arc equivalent to Zetton II from Return of Ultraman.
Data[]
- Stats
- Powers and Weapons
- Tesseractone : A four-dimensional hypercube that is stored within Zadime's body. As it spins, it absorbs the energy of incoming attacks, allowing Zadime to redirect that energy outward.[1] However, there appears to be a limit to a Tesseractone's energy storage, as even it was unable to take the full brunt of Arc's Arc Finalize, though it regenerated some time later.
- Energy Slashes: Zadime absorbs and redirects the energy of Ultraman Arc's Luna Sword Catcher as a barrage of energy slashes fired from the spout-like organs on its back.
- Hand Beam: An orange energy beam fired from outstretched hands. This can be fired as a concentrated beam or as a barrage of energy bullets.
- Spatial Slicing: The needle at the tip of Zadime's tail slices through the fabric of space, allowing it to escape into another dimension.
- Multidimensionality: Like its master Sweed, Zadime exerts some form of multidimensionality which allows it to appear and disappear like a mirage.[1]
