Yoichi Kaji is a recurring character from Ultraman Ace. He was a scientist belonging to TAC, responsible for developing many of the defense team's weapons.

Yoichi was the Chief of TAC's Science Team[1] and the Weapons Development Department[2] for the Far East Branch. He had a good understanding of the Terrible-Monsters and often developed various weapons for the team, including the large missiles Maria 1 and 2 that could enter extra-dimensional space.Life of the Sun Is the Life of Ace In addition, he volunteered to participate in the battle against Alien Hipporit along with other TAC members.Miracle! Yoichi was involved in the development and testing of the Gravity Control Coil [1], a levitation mechanism utilizing reverse-engineered Over-Technology [3] recovered from past extraterrestrial encounters. During one of these testings, an activated coil became berserk and took Yoichi's life.[1] This piece of technology would later become a key component for ZAT's Condor 1.[1] By MAC's era, the technology was put into general use with the Maccy 2 being a prime example. Data of the Gravity Control Coil was among many other extraterrestrial technologies that were lost after Silverbloome consumed the MAC Station.[4]
