Volcan is an Alien Magma who leads his race's invasion army against the Planets L77 and D60 and the main antagonist of Ultraman Regulos.

Conception

Befitting its fictional setting, Volcan's armor is recycled from the Armored Darkness suit.

Etymology

Volcan's name comes from the word volcanism, which refers to the phenomenon of eruption of molten rock (magma) onto the surface of the Earth. This is cleverly a pun to his race being named "Alien Magma".

Powers and Weapons

• Toxigenesis: Using his own malicious energy, Volcan can produce a smoke-like, gas-based poison which he can then use to empower his attacks.
  • Magma Poison Palm Strike : Using the poison produced from his energy, Volcan can carry out a heavy punch that delivers the poison into his opponent's body, rapidly weakening them.
  • Forbidden Poison Palm Technique: By using his own poison on himself, Volcan is able to push is strength to the limit at the cost of his own life.
• Armor: Volcan wears a set of armor that is created under the image of Alien Empera's Armored Darkness. Despite not being as strong as the original, it grants him nigh invulnerability nonetheless. However, the armor can be penetrated if Ultraman Regulos be able to use Red Dragon and White Tiger Fist against him.
• Magma Saber : Like other members of his race, Volcan uses a long Pata in combat.
• Forehead Beam: Volcan is able to fire a red beam from his forehead that is powerful enough to defeat Phoros and Tubahn.
• Monster Summon: Volcan is able to summon Baraba, which he bargained with the Yapool with, to help him fight his enemies.

Trivia

• His voice actor, Takaya Kuroda, previously voiced a Villain Guild-turned-EGIS Alien Magma member named Maguma, hence making his casting as Volcan as a sort of allusion to the previous role.
• His character is an allusion to the Alien Magma Eldest Brother from Ultraman Festival 2018 Live Stage Part 2, who is the leader of his Alien Magma gang and at the same time having a different suit which represents his authority.
  • The upper portion of the head is reused from the eldest brother, while the body suit went to Yurub.
