The Ultria is a battleship that appears in The☆Ultraman. It was secretly hidden 3,000 meters underground in Antarctica by the ancient U40 Ultra People as a contingency plan for emergencies. Later, it was entrusted to the Science Guard Party for use.

Ultria's design was handled by Shoji Kawamori, who served as the mechanical designer for the latter half of the series.

Overview

Ultria's Power Room

Ultria is an enormous battleship measuring 300 meters in length, possessing the power to single-handedly repel space fleets and monsters. Its energy source is a newly discovered substance unknown to Earth, called Ultra Elementary Particle . The energy generated in its power chamber is ten times that of all the nuclear power plants on Earth combined, and it can operate for at least 100 years without refueling or maintenance. Additionally, its technology does not require special abilities to operate, making it fully accessible to humans.

The interior of the warship is equipped with kitchens and bathing facilities, but its most remarkable feature is its ability to split into two separate vessels: α (Alpha) and β (Beta). The ship also possesses an advanced faster-than-light travel system known as Space Warp, enabling it to instantly travel from Earth to Planet U40, a planet 2 million light-years away.

In terms of armament, Ultria's bow is equipped with a twin-mounted Laser Cannon, while a twin-mounted Large Beam Cannon is positioned behind the aircraft launch bay. The α (Alpha) Unit is fitted with three Triple Anti-Proton Cannons on its upper section and one on the lower section. The β (Beta) Unit features two large Triple Anti-Proton Cannons at the front of its wings, with an additional Small Hybrid Anti-Proton Turret mounted on the upper rear section.

In total, Ultria is armed with 150 Anti-Proton Cannons. Additionally, the battleship is equipped with multiple mechanical arms and carries Uruk, an support robots designed to assist the crew inside the ship.

History

The☆Ultraman

In the distant past, the ancient Ultra People, foreseeing a potential crisis involving Planet U40 and Earth, secretly hid Ultria 3,000 meters beneath the Antarctic surface. Over time, its existence faded into legend, to the point that even the Great Sage was unaware of its significance.

With the invasion of the Heller Empire, the Great Sage dispatched Amia to Earth to locate and awaken Ultria in the hope that it would one day help save U40. At the same time, an Antarctic expedition team studying the Earth's crust detected the ship's presence using underground radar. Responding to this discovery, Choichiro Hikari traveled to Antarctica to investigate. Upon Amia's arrival, Hikari transformed into Ultraman Joneus, and together with Amia's spacecraft and the Super Mardock, they engaged Gumons in battle. Ultria arrives at the Far East Base.

Entrusted with a vital mission, Amia handed Ultria over to the Science Guard Party. After explaining that its basic operations were not significantly different from Earth's battleships, the vessel was officially integrated into the defense team, becoming their new flagship. When the Heller Army approached Japan, Ultria engaged their fleet in space. Displaying overwhelming firepower, it obliterated enemy warships. However, the flagship of the Heller Army launched a counterattack on Ultria. Despite this, its formidable armor sustained only minor damage. As the crew regained consciousness and returned to the front lines, they joined Joneus in a counteroffensive, ultimately destroying the enemy flagship. ^{Giant Ultra War! Due to its massive size, Ultria could not be housed within the base's hangar. Consequently, a section of the Earth Defense Army's Far East Base was converted into a temporary dock, leaving the battleship mostly exposed. During this period, scientists studied its technology, which contributed to the development of the Space Bardy and Space Beatamy spacecraft.

Through Dr. Henry Nishiki's research, the team discovered that Ultria had two command centers. Upon pressing a button inside the command chamber, Henry realized the warship could separate and recombine, leading him to designate the two vessels as α (Alpha) and β (Beta).^{Ultria Was Broken In Two?!}

As the Science Guard Party piloted Ultria to U40 to participate in the battle against the Heller Army, the ship entered U40's satellite orbit. There, the Heller Army launched a beam cannon attack using Ultramind Energy, putting Ultria in critical danger. To turn the tide, the crew staged a tactical deception—feigning destruction while sealing its thrusters, allowing the vessel to accelerate at full speed toward the planet. Ultria ultimately crash-landed into Heller City, demolishing its defense tower before making an emergency landing on open ground.

After the Science Guard Party safely evacuated, Ultria exploded and was completely destroyed. However, its sacrifice successfully neutralized Heller City's defensive systems and barriers. ^{To The Ultra Star! Part 3: U (Ultra) Fleet's Large Fierce Battle}
