Biography |
"Even Chief Hikari couldn't resist the power of darkness... Or is the power of light... such a vulnerable and fragile thing?"
- ―Tregear after being attacked by Hunter Knight Tsurugi.
This version of Ultraman Tregear is a Parallel Isotope resulted from Absolute Tartarus' tampering with the Land of Light's past, preventing the absorption of Grimdo into his body and subsequent fights with the Tri-Squad.
History[]
Assuming that Tartarus' intervention took place since Tregear's arrival on Planet Arb, then this Tregear was theorized to have experience similar events from the first half of his original counterpart's novel, Blue Shadow. After failing to obtain a membership in the Inter Galactic Defense Force, Tregear accepted the offer of working in the Bureau of Space Science and Technology.
Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy[]
"That's how you... only see things from one side. In this world... there is neither light nor dark."
- ―Tregear as he abandoned Taro on Planet Deastar to join Tartarus.
Tregear dedicated his time to create the device that would be the Taiga Spark, and the recently returned Ultraman Taro decided to lend his part in completing the device through his time on Earth. Discovering the news of his instructor, Ultraman Hikari, disappearing to Planet Arb, Tregear went to retrieve him, but by that point, Hikari had assumed the mantle of Hunter Knight Tsurugi and vented his frustrations on his former co-worker out of guilt over Arb's loss. His faith in the light was shaken despite Taro's insistence to do their part together.
The pair investigated a mysterious energy source on Planet Deastar, when Night Fang suddenly appeared to intercept Taro. Tregear was exposed to its Nightmare Wave and received haunted visions of Hikari and Taro. It was at that point where Tartarus provide Tregear with his future vision of descending into an evil Ultra and frequently fighting against Taro's son, Taiga. Horrified over what his future self turned out to be, Tregear accepted Tartarus' offer to change his fate and eventually abandoning Taro on Planet Deastar.
Tregear was joined by Belial, another fallen Ultra from the same planet of origin who also ended up becoming a Parallel Isotope and received their power up in the form of Absolutian energy. The pair were sent into Satellite Golgotha to fight the six Ultra Brothers in the main timeline right after the deaths of Juda and Mold, wherein the fallen Ultramen pair made a quick work against their aged former comrades. While equally matched with Ultraman Zero, the pair were instructed to return to The Kingdom under Tartarus' orders. The Divergence

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad[]
After Tartarus imprisoned Yullian, Belial and Tregear were brought to The Kingdom's Central Planet, where they encountered Absolute Diavolo and Absolute Titan, who did not appreciate their presence among the Absolutians, but Tartarus stopped their argument before it got out of hand. Tartarus then told the two Ultras about the Kingdom's history and their true motives for finding another home world to live on, before bestowing more Absolutian power upon them by using a machine that showered them with Absolute Particles.
Belial and Tregear later left their hideout after covertly seeing Tartarus return with the Giga Battlenizer and Tregear Eye, storing them within the Narak dimension. The two of them ambushed Geed and Taiga respectively after they had just defused from Ultraman Reiga following their battle with Gua Spectre, striking the two of them with their Ultra Beams. After a quick fight with Taiga, Tregear left with Belial, who had managed to steal the Beliarok from Z.
The two fallen Ultras then confronted Ultraman Victory and Ultraman Hikari when they and their rescue team managed to infiltrate the Kingdom. Belial fought Victory in a clash between the Beliarok and the Shepherdon Sabre while Tregear battled Hikari wearing the Hero's Armor. Each of them fought rather evenly with their opponents until Astra managed to find and rescue both Yullian and Ultraman Regulos, with Victory and Hikari managing to escape from the duo when the former used his Ultlance to access the EX Red King Knuckle, blowing Belial and Tregear back.
They followed the Absolutians to Planet Glacier, tracking down the escaped team of Ultras to that location, where they were met by a large gathering of warriors. Tregear fought against Taro and Taiga, until the former had to join Mebius to become Mebius Infinity and close the Absolutians' portal. Taiga attempted to convince Tregear to join the side of light once more, only to be rebutted and blasted with lightning. However, he refused to give in and stood up to Tregear alone, stopping Titas and Fuma from interrupting. Taiga reiterated the meaning of his name, stating that both Taro and Tregear gave it to him. This left Tregear dispirited, leaving the battlefield aftwerwards.
Back at the Kingdom, both Belial and Tregear began to grow disillusioned with the paths they had taken. Desiring to find power his own way, Belial tore open Tartarus' storage and took the Giga Battlenizer while giving the Tregear Eye to Tregear. Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad
