"Maybe in another world, Ultraman Tiga is just a TV show. And perhaps, I'm just the protagonist of a manga."
This Ultraman Tiga is an alternate counterpart of the Ultra from his namesake series, appearing in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Adventure NEO and Mega Monster Battle: ULTRA MONSTERS NEO. Instead of disappearing after the fight with the dark ruler, Tiga remained active to defend his Planet Earth and occasionally encountering Ai Asama, the manga's protagonist and the son of one of the Dive Hangar's nurses.
History[]
Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Adventure NEO[]
"You told me that your world is one where Gatanothor appeared but defeated by Tiga? [...] Obviously yours is the world where Tiga remains to be active. And here I thought I was back home to the Earth I was supposed to be. This is yet another parallel world. No matter, yours is about to end anyway."
- ―Kyrieloid as he summarized this Tiga as an alternate counterpart.
This version of Ultraman Tiga followed the exact same history of events that happened to his original counterpart, but remained active even after his fight with Gatanothor. Additionally, Tiga was the only actual Ultra in this world, whereas others from his preceding series (Showa) and his succeeding series turned out to be fictional characters of the Ultraman Series.
Ultraman Tiga first appeared to fight against Alien Magma, Alien Babarue, Alien Temperor and Kyrieloid when they arrived in his world in search for Kanegon and the latter's Battlenizer. Being outnumbered by all aliens at once, Kanegon's Red King was summoned to assist Tiga, but the initial confusion resulted with the Ultra being attacked as well. Seeing the skull monster refusing to apologize, Ai immediately tried to have Tiga fired his Zeperion Beam, but the Ultra forgave the monster, thus the two banded together and allowing the Ultra to defeat Babarue and Magma. With Red King summoned back to the Battlenizer, Tiga gave Ai an approving nod before leaving. Tiga would show up the next day when Ai's hometown was struck by Grozam's winter, fighting against Alien Villa and saving Ai from hypothermia by bringing him to Dive Hangar. Tiga and Red King banded together once more, fighting Grozam and Inpelaizer to defend Dive Hangar, before flying to space to pursue Alien Guts after they kidnapped Ai and Kanegon. While seemingly unable to catch up with the boy, Tiga made it to the testing site planet just in time to face off Gatanothor again. However as it seemed that Tiga was about to be petrified, Ai, Kanegon and Vittorio's hope became light energy for Tiga to assume Glitter Tiga, defeating the dark ruler once again with Red King (Reionic Burst)'s help. Just as it seemed that everything was over, the blue sphere (later revealed to be a developing EX Zetton) emerged and seemingly killed Tiga with several fireball shots. The incident inspired Ai to tag along with Vittorio in pursuit of the sphere and finally putting a stop to Alien Reiblood's plan once and for all.
As Ultraseven passed through the wormhole to return Ai to his universe, Tiga appeared unscathed, apparently having survived the assault and volunteered to escort Ai (and Red King) back to their planet Earth.

Mega Monster Battle: ULTRA MONSTERS NEO[]
Ultraman Tiga appeared in the arcade game's story mode as part of adapting the storyline for Ultra Adventure NEO. Here, Tiga only appeared to fight Grozam after the GUTS Wing 2 was fired by Inpelaizer.[2] He reappeared for the second and last time to fight Gatanothor after the players did, absorbing the protagonist, Kanegon and Vittorio's lights to become Glitter Tiga.[3]

Trivia[]
- There are no images or scenes of Tiga transforming from a host. If he really did, then it's implied to be the alternate counterpart to Daigo Madoka.
- The ULTRA MONSTERS NEO story mode featured Tiga transforming from a crashing GUTS Wing 2.
- Judging from Ai's recognition of Kyrieloid, it's implied that Tiga had also fought the Kyriels in this dimension, only the group he encountered isn't the one from the World of Neo Frontier Space.
- Despite Ai being the protectorate to Tiga, the inverse is also true to the young boy. Presumably as a form of idolization to the young Ultra, Ai's desire to protect him from the four aliens is what resulted with his first control over his Red King, and his desire to chase EX Zetton's cocoon stems from the monster having injured Tiga right after the fight with Gatanothor.
- In promotional videos for ULTRA MONSTERS NEO, both Red King and Tiga occasionally portrayed side by side. This may be a reference to their roles in Ultra Adventure NEO, representing Ai/Kanegon's Red King and the alternate Tiga.
