Ultraman Hit Song History (ウルトラマンヒットソングヒストリー, Urutoraman Hitto Songu Hisutorī) are song albums that include full versions of the opening themes and other songs from various Ultraman Series entries, presented through a short story.

The first two albums titled Legend Hero Chapter (レジェンドヒーロー編, Rejendo Hīrō-hen) and New Hero Chapter (ニューヒーロー編, Nyū Hīrō-hen) were released in 2011 to coincide with the 45th anniversary of the Ultraman Series.

In August 2018, the New Generation Chapter (ニュージェネレーション編, Nyū Jenerēshon-hen) was released, near the end of the Heisei Era.

Plot[]

Ultraman Zero notices that the color of the universe is disappearing and everything is turning grayscale. A mysterious figure in a red robe transports him elsewhere, outside of time. He introduces himself as the Guardian of Time and tells Zero to revive the memories of his predecessors through the Legend Book to restore history and bring stability back to the universe. Later on, he is joined by Ultraman and Ultraseven. After Zero gets through all the various songs and brings the color back to the universe, the robed figure sees him off and reveals himself to be Ultraman King, who adds Zero's history to the Legend Book.

Plot[]

Ultraman Rosso and Blu are on the moon when a portal suddenly opens above them. Ultraman Zero exits the portal and lands before them. The three Ultras introduce themselves and Zero begins to tell the two brothers about his fight with the revived Etelgar. In the aftermath of the battle, Geed sacrificed himself to save Zero, Ginga, Victory, X, and Orb were all imprisoned within mirrors.

Ginga, trapped in a mirror, falls out of a portal and Zero instructs the brothers to use the power of music to release the trapped Ultra. The four Ultras head for the Earth in Ultraman Ginga's universe and uses the power of music once again to save Victory. Ginga and Victory both fly off to stop Etelgar. The three Ultras then release X from Cyberspace, Orb from the top of the Crusader's Peak on Planet O-50, and Geed in the Monster Graveyard.

Etelgar, fighting Ginga, Victory, and X, marches towards the eight Ultras and prepares for another battle. After beating down the Ultras, Etelgar taunts them about how outmatched they were. Zero, sensing the danger, merges directly with Ginga, Victory, X, and Orb to become Zero Beyond once again. The three Ultras fire their finishers at Etelgar and finally defeats the menace.

The New Generation Heroes thanked Rosso and Blu and headed back to their own universe and the two brothers flew back to Earth.
