Ultraman Arc The Live In Taiwan 2024 (超人力霸王舞台劇 in Taiwan 2024, Chāo rén lì bà wáng wǔ tái jù in Taiwan 2024)[1] is the fourth Ultraman stage show held in Taiwan, featuring Ultraman Arc.

Synopsis[]

The first half takes place in the world of Ultraman Arc and follows YouPi as he encounters an Alien Lisestia whose fantastical powers of imagination sets him in the sights of a malevolent force, who wishes to take control of his powers for a vicious ambition.

The second half follows the Ultimate Force Zero in pursuit of the Calamity Witch Nuwa to rescue their fallen comrade and prevent her from bringing her ruinous plot to fruition.

Plot[]

The stage opens with a greeting by Yuma Hize, who reminds them of the stage etiquette to observe before the show begins proper. However, Bemular, Golza, and Shagong waltz into the stage uninvited, but Ultraman Arc appears to save the day and defeat the Kaiju before the show begins.

First Half[]

In the first half, YouPi finds himself lost and wandering the streets of Taiwan. Whilst figuring out a way to return home, he encounters an Alien Lisestia with a bright and cheerful personality, and the two immediately hit it off. Going by the name of Xia Lelu, the young alien lets YouPi in on a secret; he has the power to bring his imagination to life.

To put his powers to the test, Lelu walks off-stage and presents two Kaiju specimens on the big screen: Gomora and Black King. He then asks the audience to take a pick, and depending on the audience's choice, Lelu uses the power of imagination to summon forth the Kaiju of their selection. Together with the audience, Lelu trains and instructs the Kaiju to move forward and wag its tail just like a pet would, and then on her next wish, brings forth the other Kaiju. On Lelu's command, both Gomora and Black King listen obediently and engage in a friendly match as the audience watches in awe.

As Gomora is about to defeat Black King with a decisive tail strike, a mysterious, almost bewitching voice fills the air, which causes Lelu to stop in his tracks. As if on the voice's whim, something triggers inside of Lelu as his joy disappears, with malice filling in the void as he leads the Kaiju to lay waste to the city. Having found himself in a precarious situation, YouPi sends out an emergency message to Yuma, to which he responds by transforming into Ultraman Arc and making a dash towards Taiwan to save his friend.

Comically, Arc's instantaneous arrival almost lets the cat out of the bag (YouPi had only contacted Yuma), but he quickly drops the subject. As if in a trance, Lelu lingers into the shadows, leaving Arc locked in a fierce battle against the space monster Bemular, the ancient monster Golza, and the armored shell monster Shagong, mirroring the stage's opening battle.

Just then, an elderly lady with an overbearing presence struts into the stage, her hunched frame concealed by an oversized cloak and supported by a walking cane. She reveals herself to be someone related to Lelu, and rejoices over the satisfactory results of Lelu's "growth", referring to his mastery over the planes of imagination. As a means of furthering her ambitions, she had been trying to convince Lelu to give up on his dreams, to accept the allure of the darkness and to take delight in the pleasure of death and destruction.

Despite the circumstances, YouPi, who had extended Lelu a hand of "friendship" in the brief time they had spent together, refuses to submit and vows to rescue Lelu from the darkness. In response to his wishes, Gomora and Black King appear from behind the curtains to assist Arc against the Kaiju threat in a climatic three-on-three battle between the forces of good and evil. But the overwhelming darkness unleashed a terrifying show of power, causing Arc and his companions to stagger and fall. Just when the situation seemed dire, the audience's cheers manage to snap Lelu out from his trance. With the limitless power of imagination at his fingertips, Lelu miraculously brings forth giants of light in the form of Arc Solis Armor and Arc Luna Armor to fight alongside the heroes, and together, the three Arcs manage to vanquish the monsters and save the day.

This victory was short-lived, however, as the mysterious lady launched a surprise attack, capturing Lelu yet again and exiting through a wormhole into an alternate dimension before Arc can catch up. As all seems lost, another wormhole unexpectedly opened up before Arc and YouPi. Without thinking twice, the Ultra ran straight into the wormhole, determined to save Lelu from the clutches of the evil mastermind despite the dangers that laid ahead.

Second Half[]

In the second half, the true identity of the mysterious lady is revealed to be the Calamity Witch Nuwa, who has brought her subordinates into another spacetime: the swordsman Nodachi Zamsher, Glenfire Indigo of the Glenfire Tribe, and Jean-Nine, who she had brainwashed. To rescue Jean-Nine, the Ultimate Force Zero has pursued Nuwa's group across many different dimensions, with Ultraman Z tagging along to help.

Having finally found Nuwa in this dimension, the battle begins. Z finds himself tag-teamed by Alien Barossa, Hellberus, and Sphere-Geomos, but he manages to drive them away single-handedly thanks to his growth as an Ultra Warrior. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Force Zero members are matched against Nuwa's generals: Jean-Bot attempts to free Jean-Nine from his brainwashing, Mirror Knight draws weapons against Nodachi Zamsher, and Glenfire dukes it out against Indigo, who wishes to surpass Glenfire, the strongest of his race.

Zero chases after Nuwa, who had planned to separate the Ultimate Force Zero and weaken them via attrition tactics. She then indulges the young warrior in her grand ambitions: to recruit more powerful servants like Lelu and have them sow the seeds of destruction in an endless cycle of war and calamity. After having assimilated with Lelu, Nuwa taps into the power of imagination to draw on Zero's painful memories, recreating Zero Darkness to reenact the deaths of the Ultimate Force Zero. Fortunately, Z and the Ultimate Force Zero managed to defeat their foes and bring back Jean-Nine without much difficulty, and even Zero was able to overcome his dark past thanks to his accumulated experiences over the years.

Having had enough, Nuwa unleashes the full extent of her imagination to summon forth the monstrous Flying Fish God, whose gaping jaws were densely packed with razor sharp teeth and its body lined with multicolored vermillion scales. Nevertheless, having developed a tacit understanding between themselves from fighting together for so long, the Ultimate Force Zero employed excellent team tactics to disorient the gigantic behemoth and used this opening to rescue Lelu from its insides.

Regardless, the Calamity Witch still believed she had a chance to win, and as a last resort incorporates Lelu into herself yet again to regain her youthful appearance, which she unceremoniously flaunts in front of the heroes. The witch boasts great strength, and her incredible flexibility and adaptive ability gradually exhausts the heroes, but the legendary Ultraseven arrives in the nick of time to lend his strength. Together, the heroes manage to weaken Nuwa and her monstrous creation, allowing Lelu to regain his strength. Lelu turns to the audience for their support, and with overflowing power he manages to spin together the greatest of miracles, opening a wormhole to Arc's dimension. With the miracles of light on their side, the Ultra Heroes and their companions now stand at their strongest, and together they unleash their finishers and prevail over the forces of darkness in a superb explosion.

The dust settles, and the heroes come together in victory. They deliver words of gratitude to the audience and exchange friendly words. As this is Arc's first time meeting another Ultra Hero, he introduces himself to Zero, who gladly listens before changing the subject as the two are interrupted by Z, who envies the attention the new hero is receiving from his "master". Afterwards, the heroes bid farewell to Lelu and Arc, who return to their home dimension and look forward to reuniting with YouPi.[2]
