Akio Jissoji's Ultraman is a 1979 Japanese tokusatsu kaiju film directed by Akio Jissoji. It is a compilation film made up of scenes from Akio Jissoji's episodes of the original Ultraman TV series.
Production[]
This film is primarily a special edition created by director Akio Jissoji, re-editing episodes 15, 22, 23, 34, and 35 of the 1966 series Ultraman. Its style integrates multiple storylines, with Ultraman hardly making an appearance. Additionally, it marks the first Ultra film distributed by the Shochiku Company. Previously, Ultra films were mainly distributed by Toho Company.

- The movie is released as a DVD on September 13, 2006, to commemorate the theatrical release of Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers.
- The movie is also one of the Showa Era Ultraman films to be released for the "Ultra Series 45th Anniversary Memorial Movie Collection 1966-1984 DVD-BOX" on April 17, 2011 by Bandai Visual.
