The Ultra Oscillation Wave is the ability mainly used by Gomora to burrow their way underground. Ever since Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle, the Ultra Oscillation Wave had since been used as one of the many attacks of Gomora and its derivate species, either as a point-blank attack or an energy beam.
Conception[]
The roots of Ultra Oscillation Wave can be traced all the way to the children's magazine in 1967, a content written by the late novelist Shoji Otomo. It is said that Gomora emits ultrasonic vibration with its horn to dig underground.[1] This is also featured in its 2008 reprint by Shogakukan.[2]
History[]
Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle[]
The Gomora who was owned by the human Reionics Rei, first displayed this attack in destroying Red King. ZAP SPACY's resident monster fan Koichi Oki immediately recognized that Ultra Oscillation Wave was initially intended to be used for burrowing and was surprised that it was improvised as a form of attack. The Oscillation Wave would soon be displayed in a typical beam fired from Gomora's horn as a long-ranged attack. When Gomora evolved into EX Gomora, the attack became the EX Ultra Oscillation Wave, where it was instead fired from the monster's abdomen at full power, and was able to obliterate Kate's Zetton after its futile attempt at enduring it.
Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle: Never Ending Odyssey[]
When Rei's Gomora evolved into a Reionics Burst form, it used the Ultra Oscillation Wave and fired its full power at an Alien Nackle's Galberos, obliterating it in an explosion.
Due to the feedback data from King Joe Black, the Reionics Hunter were able to install it into another King Joe Black that Dail used to fight Rei, only to be beaten up easily.
In the final fight against Alien Reiblood/Armored Darkness, Rei's EX Gomora fired the EX Ultra Oscillation Wave while Grande's EX Red King delivered Flame Road, simultaneously defeating the sentient armor to unsalvageable scraps.
Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Adventure[]
The Gomora that Io Mikura manipulated was initially unable to perform Ultra Oscillation Wave for attack purposes, relying on brute strength and its natural horns, claws and tail to attack. It learned to use Zero Shoot from watching King Joe Scarlet's Pedanium Lancer attack and its energy beam variant after witnessing Rei's EX Gomora during a time travel incident. After returning to his Planet Earth and trying to fight off Alien Reiblood in Deathfacer, Io was given permission to control Vittorio's EX Gomora, allowing both monsters to pin both sides of the robot with their horns and execute Double Ultra Oscillation Wave (Zero Shoot).
Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie[]
Other than Gomora using the attack against a Zaragas and a portion of Belial Army, it assumed Reionic Burst when Rei fell under the influence of Ultraman Belial. Ultra Galaxy Legend Gaiden: Ultraman Zero vs. Darklops Zero[]
Having stolen the alternate Rei's Battlenizer, Alien Salome used their technology to create Mecha Gomora through analysis of the Reionics' Gomora. This includes the ability to fire Ultra Oscillation Wave as part of its attacks. Incidentally, the original Gomora defeated its mechanical counterpart with said attack, empowered by both Rei and his alternate self. Ultra Galaxy Legend Gaiden: Ultraman Zero vs. Darklops Zero
Ultraman X[]
The Gomora Spark Doll under Daichi Oozora's care was duplicated into Cyber Gomora, one of the many Cyber Monsters contained in the Cyber Cards. By initiating Mons Armor, Ultraman X is able to arm himself with the Gomora Armor, which granted him Gomora Oscillation Wave attack. The result of said attack varied; either unleashing a wave of electricity (Black King), transforming targets into Spark Dolls (Birdon), or simply sending his opponents skyrocketing from Earth (Dark Star Cluster).
After a successful Realized, Cyber Gomora, the monster gained the ability to shoot an Oscillation Wave by concentrating energy to its horns and claws.
When Greeza absorbed the entirety of Spark Dolls in Xio's storage, Gomora's power materialized in Greeza's Final Form and was used to torment Ultraman Exceed X.
Ultraman X The Movie: Here He Comes! Our Ultraman[]
With Ultraman X out of commission from injury, Xio devised their operation to defeat Zaigorg, one of which was using Cyber Gomora's Oscillation Wave to lure out the monster from the ground. Once Zaigorg resurfaced, Cyber Gomora tried to attack the monster with another Oscillation Wave, but it endured and shot its spike towards the Cyber Monster, causing it to vanish.
Asuna Yamase would then use Cyber Gomora's power to load the Xio Bazooka, allowing her to shoot the monster's Oscillation Wave as a projectile alongside Wataru Kazama in Land Musketty. The resulting attack sends her backwards due to the recoil, but was at least able to knock Gorg Fire Golza from its ball-like formation for Ultraman to recover and retaliate. Ultraman Geed[]
As Gomora became one of the two components to form Skull Gomora, its attack was also incorporated into the monster, as seen in Ultraman Geed's first fight.
Ultraman Z[]
As revealed in the official website, Telesdon also uses Ultra Oscillation Wave to navigate its way underground, using its drill beak to emit the vibration wave. When Telesdon became upgraded as Erimaki-Telesdon, Jirahs' frill gave the monster its Depth Destruction Heat Ray Wave attack, which is said to use the Ultra Oscillation Wave as ammunition.[3]
Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga[]
Gomora's Ultra Oscillation Wave was inscribed into a Kaiju Key. This allows Mitsukuni Shizuma to shoot the monster's own attack against Golba during its appearance on Mars.
Ultraman Decker[]
After being infected by the Spheres, Sphere-Gomora was able to launch Oscillation Wave simultaneously with a shock wave that disabled electronic devices.
When Alien Bazdo Agams hijacked Terraphaser, he was able to utilize the Phase Riser and shoot an Ultra Oscillation Wave from the robot's arm cannon once he loaded Gomora's Mons Dimension Card.
Nature[]
As mentioned by Oki, the Ultra Oscillation Wave's true purpose is to vibrate the ground so that Gomora can navigate its way underground in its burrowing activity. When used as an attack, the Ultra Oscillation Wave is fired in a stream of red energy. A point-blank variant of the attack is known as Zero Shoot , which involves the nasal horn stabbing the target, then pumping the Oscillation Wave into target until Gomora knocks them aside. If successful, then the target would explode in response to the energy buildup.

- Originally in all of Gomora's appearances before Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle, the Ultra Oscillation Wave is unmentioned. Only that Gomora had the ability to burrow quickly underground.
- Although not explicitly stated to be Ultra Oscillation Wave, Gudon's Excavator whips function in the same way by vibrating fast enough to burrow underground.
