Overview[]

Khang Le Ultra Jet 4

Concept design drawing of Ultra Jet.[1]

According to Khang Le, who designed the appearance of the aircraft, the Ultra Jet was based on Ultra Hawk No.1. The original Ultra Hawk No.1 could split into three smaller jets, and this concept was incorporated into the Ultra Jet. The numbers on the Ultra Jet correspond to its components, which include:[1]

  • BV-002-1 - Main body: Contains the core of the aircraft and the command center.
  • BV-002-2 - Anti-aircraft: This section is dedicated to anti-aircraft operations.
  • BV-002-3 - Ground attack: This section focuses on ground attack missions.

The Ultra Jet is equipped with four engine exhaust ports and has a fan-shaped tailgate at the rear. In the concept art, the design for the cockpit was also included, but this area did not appear in the final version of the film.[1]

History[]

Ultraman: Rising[]

The Ultra Jet is believed to have existed 30 years ago. In its debut scene, it was seen along with the Ultra Ship observing the battle between Ultraman and Neronga at sea.

Twenty years later, the Ultra Jet is believed to be owned by Professor Sato. He once piloted the fighter jet, taking Ken, Mina, and Emi to his private island, where they landed at a forest cabin that the Sato family had once lived in.

Trivia[]

  • In the early concept designs, the Ultra Jet bore the UG insignia, which was later changed to the old KDF emblem in the film version.[1]
  • According to the color scheme reference provided by concept designer Nacho Molina, the Ultra Jet had four different color schemes, each reflecting the stylistic changes brought about by the KDF's military expansion. The Ultra Jet's appearance in the film follows the V02 color scheme, indicating that the Ultra Jet had left KDF control after this phase.[3][4]
