Ultra Heroes EXPO 2024 New Year Festival IN Tokyo Dome City is the sixteenth New Year Festival exhibition event held at Tokyo Dome City. It was announced on September 15, 2023 and held from December 29 to January 8, 2024.[1]

A stage show featuring Gento Hiruma, Emi Aobe and Ultraman Blazar was performed three to four times per day, with different special guests appearing each day.[2]

Ultra Heroes EXPO 2021 New Year Festival: Let's Chant With All Our Hearts! Special Night was a reshowing of the 2021 New Year Festival stage show, held in the evening on January 5.[3][4][5] The cast of Ultraman Z reprised their roles, and a talk show was held at the end.[6] The event was livestreamed on U-NEXT with the archive available until January 21. On March 8, it was added to TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION as a rental.[7]

Talk Show[]
The final performance of the stage show held on January 8 was followed by a talk show with the Ultraman Blazar cast and musicians. This event was also livestreamed on U-NEXT with the archive available until January 24.[3][5]
During the talk show, the guests talked about their goals for 2024, their experiences performing the stage show and the upcoming Ultraman Blazar movie. It concluded with Hiroshi Kitadani singing "Bokura no Spectra" with Ultraman Blazar and Earth Garon joining him onstage, followed by Warabino and Tsukimiya being given bouquets to celebrate the fact that they had performed the show 40 times.[8]

Ultraman Department Store[]
The Ultraman Department Store is an expansive gift shop selling all kinds of Ultraman merchandise, including event-exclusive items, such as figures in unique colors, and an Ultraman Gaia Super Supreme Version figure.[9][10] Some items were also available at Tsuburaya Store ONLINE and could be pre-ordered before the festival began.[11][12]
The DVD and Blu-ray set of the 2023 Summer Festival's stage shows and the "ULTRA PRIDE" album were sold early at the shop.[13][14]
After the festival concluded, merchandise continued to be sold on Tsuburaya Store ONLINE, and a bromide of photos taken of the stage show was added to the shop.[15]
Campaigns[]
- Like last year, before the event was held, there was a vote called the Let's Make EXPO New Year Fes Together Vote! to decide elements of the festival, this year being a postcard design used in the restuarant fair event and the character to appear at Super Limited Ultra Shot booth.[11]
- Priority tickets which guests can use to visit the Ultra Shoot booth at a designated time were sold from December 10.[16]
- An event-exclusive Blazar Stone was given to all visitors.[11][17][18]
- A free postcard was given to visitors who brought their SKaRD Special Member ID card from Ultra Heroes EXP0 2023 Summer Festival.[11][17]
- Chicken katsu sandwiches with Ultraman-themed packaging were sold at Tokyo Dome City, having first been available at TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2023.[19][20]
- Restaurant Fair : Those who ordered certain items at Tokyo Dome City restaurants received a free postcard.[19][21]
- Through a collaboration with Marion Crepes, crepes designed by Tomoya Warabino and Himena Tsukimiya were sold at Marion Crepes' Hi! EVERYVALLY store. They were titled Blaze THE Crepe and White Ape Banana Crepe respectively. These crepes were some of the restaurant fair items.[21]
- New Generation Ultraman Digital Rally : Those who scanned barcodes at five particular spots in Tokyo Dome City would receive a digital wallpaper.[22]
- Guests who present their EXPO ticket at certain ticket counters could receive a ¥150 discount to Ultraseven THE ATTRACTION and a postcard with the design that won second place in the vote.[19]
- The Ultraseven IF Story CaseFile AR196837 event could be played nearby, without requiring a ticket for the festival itself.[19][23][24]
- On January 1, all of the New Year Festival Battle Stages from 2016 to 2020 were returned to TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION,[25] having also been made available the previous year for a limited time.
- Super Limited Ultra Shot : 50 premium TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION members and 30 standard members could win the chance to go to a special Ultra Shot booth held on January 6. As a result of the vote, Gavadon A was chosen to appear there.[26]

- The official website for this event had a new design after the same layout had been used for the New Year Festival websites since 2016.
- In addition to many other Ultraman Series actors, Haru Iwakawa, the child actor who played Gento's son, visited the festival and took an onstage photo with Tomoya Warabino.[27]
- As one of the bromide sets available at the event was mistakenly sold for ¥198 higher than intended, refunds for that amount are being offered from January 12 to March 29, 2024.[28]
- On the special calendar bundled with parent-and-child bench tickets, it says day 24 twice instead of day 25 in January, April and July. An apology was released on January 19, offering free stickers to place over the mistake until February 15.[29]
