Ultra Heroes EXPO 2021 Battle Stage: Let's Chant With All Our Hearts! (ウルトラヒーローズEXPO 2021 バトルステージ「みんなの心でご唱和しようぜ！」, Urutora Hīrōzu Ekisupo Ni-sen Ni-jū-ichi Batoru Sutēji "Min'na no Kokoro de Goshōwa Shiyou ze!") is a stage show held at Ultra Heroes EXPO 2021 New Year Festival.

The stage show's final showing on the last day of the festival was known as the "Grand Finale" (グランドフィナーレ, Gurando Fināre) and included a talk show by the Ultraman Z cast after the initial performance.[5] This finale was livestreamed online and at Ultra Athletic in Nagoya.[6] An archive of it was released exclusively on TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION and on DVD at Ultra Heroes EXPO 2021 Summer Festival from July 22, 2021.[1][7] The DVD later had a general release alongside Ultra Heroes EXPO THE LIVE: Ultraman Z on September 8, 2021.[1]

Three years later, the stage show was performed again on January 5, 2024 at Ultra Heroes EXPO 2024 New Year Festival, with the main cast reprising their roles and being in a talk show afterwards.[8][9] This one-time showing was also livestreamed through U-NEXT, with the archive available until January 21.[10][11] On March 8, it was also added to TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION as a rental,[12] before being made free for standard and premium users on August 1.[13]

Synopsis[]

In 2021, one year after Ultraman Z, Haruki Natsukawa and Ultraman Z return to Earth to defend the planet alongside STORAGE.[2]

Different guests appeared on each day the stage show was performed,[15] including Yoko, Yuka and Shinya Kaburagi from Ultraman Z, as well as singers Masaaki Endoh, who sang "Goshowa Kudasai Ware no Na wo!",[16] Tasuku Hatanaka, who sang "Promise for the future",[17] and Nami Tamaki, who sang "Connect the Truth".[18] Despite Kaburagi being the planned special guest on January 4, the Grand Finale featured Yuka Ohta appearing via the stage screen instead. Yoko Nakashima and Yuka Ohta both appeared in the 2024 show.

Trivia[]

  • This stage show features the debut of insert theme "Super Nova".[26]
  • In this stage show, the Gamma Illusion clones of Tiga, Dyna and Gaia are able to move and fight autonomously. This would later occur in Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad.
  • Children calling out the names of the Ultra Brothers as they appear is a reference to episode 34 of Ultraman Taro.
  • Ultraman says Ultraman Mebius's quote from Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers about what it means to be an Ultraman.
  • Keita Rikimaru, Juggler's suit actor, was also the show's action coordinator.[4]
  • Whilst this stage show was not included in the breakdown of the THE LIVE Series on TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION,[27] footage of the show is shown in trailers for the series,[28] and a "NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Ultraman Z" logo is displayed when it plays on TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION, implying the stage show is now considered an entry into the series.[29]
  • The 2024 showing was nigh-identical the original, but changed characters' positions to make use of the different shape of the stage, Geed did not switch to his Galaxy Rising form, and Destrudos replaced Grimdo.
