History[]
Ultraman Orb THE ORIGIN SAGA[]
The Tree of Life spreads the Seed of Life itself across the universe to breath life and free will into various planets. On a Planet Kanon, the tree created the Queen Bezelb (and presumably the Bezelbs toothe by extension) as contingency to eradicate free will if they went out of hand. It also created the War Deity as protector to Planet Kanon's citizens and together, both her and the tree became the object of reverence by its population. Planet Kanon's civilization, centering around its monarchy system, had the queen being endowed with the power to become the War Deity through a ritual centering around it.
The Queen Bezelb however went rogue and recruited the Alien Wraith Psychi as her accomplice to eradicate free will by spreading the Kugutsu venom. Seeing the tree as an obstacle but the War Deity as a tool, the two planned a string of events that only went sidetracked due to the intervention of the dimension-hopping Gai, Juggler, Asuka and Musashi into the war. As the fight ensues, the tree was threatened by Psychi's forces, more specifically the Kugutsu-infected Terrible-Monsters Vakishim and Verokron, but Amate blocked their attacks through her transformation as the War Deity. Her attempts to establish dialogue with the Queen leaves her vulnerable to the Kugutsu infection before she is rescued by Ultraman Orb. However due to Micott's death, Juggler in his recently-obtained Demon Form sliced the tree in half as to what he perceived "the root cause of the conflict", forcing the War Deity to burn the falling remains from crushing the civilians with her full power. The loss of the Tree of Life earned Juggler a reprimand from his allies and the ire from everyone on Kanon, forcing him to go rogue.
A new Tree of Life grew from an old seed that Shohei Moriwaki and Yui Nishioka obtained from an old underwater ruins. This seed grew into the new Tree of Life overnight and would have threatened their lives had it not for the intervention of Gamu Takayama. The conflict centering around the Tree of Life is renewed on this planet as Psychi still insisted on getting a single seed while Amate was still trying to establish contact with the Queen. The Tree of Life once again provided her with the War Deity transformation, but she discovered too late that the Queen Bezelb had manipulated her for the goal of turning her into a Kugutsu bomb. Psychi, in order to survive the upcoming Kugutsu bomb, decided to merge with the Queen into Psyqueen and control whatever remained of their forces to destroy the Tree of Life once more. The five Ultras transformed to defend the Tree. It was Dyna, Gaia and Agul against the monsters while Orb and Cosmos used the seeds to cure the Kugutsu infection from War Deity, Vakishim and Arstron. When the fight had ended, Amate, Shohei and Yui promised to establish an understanding as they built their future with the Tree of Life on Earth.
Jugglus Juggler Chronicle: Ja no Michi wa Hebi[]
Although Planet Kanon managed to survive without the Tree of Life, its lost forever changes the future of that planet. In particular, they loss their cultural relevance, the monarchy system was eventually abolished and the Interstellar Alliance took over leadership of the planet, transforming it into a tourism spot with rising pollution cases. Even though centuries had passed, the people of Kanon maintained their hatred against Juggler for his part in their planet's downfall, forcing him to go undercover during his frequent visits to Micott's grave. The Interstellar Alliance built a general leisure building on the exact location where the former Tree of Life's stump used to be.
The alien parasite Celebro devises a way to create a DNA-altering device based on the Seed of Life, who later shared it to Phalaris. Having grow old, Phalaris decided to break the cycle of life by turning that particular technology into a gene bomb to destroy civilizations. He also uses that particular technology to turn his partner-in-crime Sagittari into a mindless cyborg, by extension converting her Grigio form into the Monster Weapon Grigio Raiden. Phalaris then hosted a tournament amongst the most wicked people in the galaxy to provide them with his gene bomb, but intends to share the losing participants with the blueprints of that technology as well to further escalate the galaxy's fall into a massive war. Send by the Interstellar Alliance, Juggler participated in the tournament to claim the Gene Bomb from Phalaris and retrieve Biranki in hopes of pardoning his crimes. While encountering Mabuze, Juggler learns of the mad scientist's intention to become a god by creating his own species with the Fruit of Life and defeats him nevertheless. Juggler then faces Phalaris and takes the Fruit of Life from his dead hands with an amnesiac Biranki in tow, but instead of surrendering them to the Alliance, he hides both of them away from the organization's radar.
Near the end of the novel, Juggler reached another Planet Earth after hitching Grigio Raiden. The Seed of Life that he procure grew into a seedling. Juggler theorizes that in this dimension, its own Tree of Life is quietly dying, hence he decided to raise this plant after declaring this Earth worth his protection. Ultraman Z[]
Fast forward to year 2020, the seedling had grew into a bonsai which Juggler tended during his spare time masquerading as Shota Hebikura in STORAGE. Following Destrudos' destruction, Juggler (now returned to his old outfit) held the potted plant on his left hand while his right arm prevented Celebro's escape via the Jashin Blade, long enough for Yuka Ohta and Shinya Kaburagi to capture him.
Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy[]
Another Planet Kanon existed in a universe where it establishes a diplomatic contact with the Land of Light. Its Tree of Life stands intact in contrast to the fate it met from the planet's original counterpart. The Beginning
Powers[]
- Spreading of Wisdom: The Tree of Life's main purpose is to breath 'wisdom' into the universe, altering several life forms along the way. In short the Tree is responsible for most and potentially all sapient/ sentient species in the universe, being capable of crafting civilizations. This process is via the energy/essence in the seeds which can alter the genes of life forms. This is done through the spreading of its seeds/fruit.
- Creation: It was also responsible for creating the War Deity as its guardian and the Bezelbs as contingency if free will becomes a menace to the universe.
- Longevity: The Tree of Life has a lifespan longer than an average plant, the one on Planet Kanon lived from the creation of the Planet's civilization to Amate's rule, presumably an untold amount of years. However it is not immortal, and can still be killed by outside forces or simply die from aging.
- Fruit of Life
- Preservation: Even if left undisturbed for centuries, the Seed of Life can prevail for a very long time. This allows the Tree of Life to sprout if the previously active tree reached the end of its life.
- Mental Link: By touching the Seed of Life, Shohei is able to establish a mental/spiritual link with Amate on Planet Kanon, despite their distances being at the edge of the universe.
- Kugutsu Purification: The Fruit/Seed of Life is able to purify the Kugutsu venom from its victims, a feat that even Ultraman Cosmos fails to do. Normally it is done by force feeding the seed to the victim, but Ultraman Orb can also turn a seed into an energy spear to directly transmit its purifying energy to a gigantic opponent.
- DNA Alteration: On its own, the Seed of Life has the ability to influence living being itself by altering their DNA sequence. If tampered to malicious purposes, it can either function to kill or mutate its victims into grotesque forms, hence being the core of Phalaris' Gene Bomb .
: The fruit it produces contains the Seed of Life , which is also part of the circulation of life. The seed can either elevate a new species into sentience or if tampered with be used as a biological weapon. In the event that a Tree of Life died, it would also sprout from another seed to continue supporting the cycle of life.

Trivia[]
- The Tree of Life is similar to Yggdrasill from the Norse mythology in terms of its purpose to breath life, as well as the object of reverence in religion. The similarity is also noticeable from Shohei's friend Yosuke Aoi, perhaps indicating that in-universe, it was the Tree of Life that inspired the Yggdrasill lore itself.
- Exactly how the Tree will function if the Bezelbs carrying their duty without rebelling against their creator is unclear, but it is speculated that by eradicating free will when it becomes a menace to the universe, the tree would repeat its first cycle to restart the circulation of life from zero.
- Given the Interstellar Alliance's corruption, it is most likely that the tree-like skyscraper they created also metaphorical symbol of their suppression of Planet Kanon under their thumb, specifically since it stood on the same spot where the old tree's stump used to be.
