The Ultra-Ancient Light and Darkness (超古代の光と闇, Chō Kodai no Hikari to Yami) is the third episode of Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga.

Synopsis[]

A man named Ignis, who calls himself the No.1 treasure hunter in the universe, is going after Yuna! What on Earth could he possibly want with her!? At the same time, Gazort appears cloaked in dark clouds and engages GUTS-Select in a fierce battle! If this continues, they’ll all be taken out in one fell swoop! Kengo!!

Plot[]

Captain Tatsumi decides to have Yuna as Kengo's supervisor in missions and at the same time announcing Ultraman Trigger as a target under the top executives' orders.

One day while Kengo accompanies Yuna and Akito to the Shizuma mansion after school, the trio discovered a strange man mysteriously breaking into the house to target Yuna. The man introduce himself as an alien treasure hunter who aims for exquisite treasures for his personal gain, and Yuna happens to be his recent target because of her status as the Sizuma Foundation's heiress. At his lab, Akito and Mitsukuni discuss the appearances of Carmeara and Darrgon as part of the Giants of Darkness that destroyed the ancient civilization, while deducing their third comrade, Hudram, is probably that treasure hunter. While another Hyper Key is in production, Akito asks whether they should tell Yuna the truth, but Mitsukuni decides to keep this secret from his daughter at the moment until the right time in the future.

The next day, Kengo accompanies Akito and Yuna to school and finds a blue alien that they assumed to be hunter's true form. After kidnapping Yuna to a certain hideout, the blue alien mistook Yuna for Yuzare and tries to get the current location of the Eternity Core, but the hunter appears to free Yuna, remembering the blue figure as Hudram from his past in Planet Lishuria. Having witnessed how Yuzare emerges by protecting Ignis from Akito and Kengo, Hudram hatches a plan to force another dangerous situation by summoning Gazort from an electromagnetic cyclone that fuses Clitters into a single monster. While staying behind to look after Yuna, Akito gives Kengo another Hyper Key before the latter left off to transform into Ultraman Trigger.

The new key allows Trigger to assume Sky Type and engages in an aerial combat with Gazort. Seeing the Ultra shielding GUTS Falcon, Captain Tatsumi orders his team to support the former as their own ally. Trigger successfully destroys Gazort, but Hudram appears in its place and is open fired with Nursedessei's Nurse Cannon after he attempts to kill the Ultra. Carmeara and Darrgon appear to restrain Hudram once he lets loose his brutal side to prevent him from destroying the planet. Kengo returns to Akito to confirm Yuna's relation to Yuzare, as well as the hunter revealing his name after the previous misunderstanding has been cleared up. At Akito's lab, Mitsukuni confirms to Kengo about Yuzare's spirit inhabiting Yuna's body as they had been keeping this info in the dark to avoid stressing her with the responsibilities.

Meanwhile after calming Hudram, Carmeara announces her team's original goal to find the Eternity Core and take it for themselves.

Andro Melos (アンドロメロス, Andoro Merosu)

After returning from a mission, Andro Melos first discussed Ribut and Sora's recruitment into Galaxy Rescue Force before he did the same, having been scouted by Queen Izana. Knowing that accepting the queen's offer would meant that he would have to step out of his position in the Andro Defense Force, Melos trained the rookie named Andro Ares as his replacement to lead his former team once he resigned from his former position. He also recounted how his late father Cesar rescued Zoffy for the latter to assume the title of Melos to fight evil in the former's stead. As of now, Cesar's son inherited his father's armor and Zoffy's Andro Melos alias, as well as the badge from the latter to fight for peace under their inspiration. Melos ends the voice drama by wishing to work with the two Ultras again from this point onwards.
