Plot[]
A large mechanical object grows out of a building in Namioka City. A green bubble begins to expand outward. Meanwhile, SGM gets reports that a jet has stopped directly above the city. They begin to investigate, but receive a call from Hino, Yuki's brother, a former college of Dr. Mitarai who had gone missing. He reveals that he has built the Gravity Machine with the help of the Invaders and that within the bubble time has stopped. SGM attempts to think of a way to break the machine, but Dr. Mitarai concludes that in order to penetrate the barrier, they would have to break the gravity machine, but they cannot get to the gravity machine without breaking the barrier.
They investigate the site. Kyotaro sees Hino and pursues him. Hino stops and tells him that he has begun to collaborate with the Invaders because they need his scientific ability while he needs their advanced technology. He says that Dr. Mitari never appreciated his talent, and tells Kyotaro to inform him that the city now belongs to him.
Meanwhile, SGM spots a large spacecraft headed towards earth: the Invaders cannot land such a large craft in earth's normal gravity, but the Gravity Machine would enable them to do so and launch a full scale invasion. The green bubble begins to expand towards Tokyo.
Outside, Kyotaro privately vows to destroy the machine even if it means sacrificing his life. He spots an Invader and pursues him to a rundown house. Inside are Hino and several Invaders. The Invaders gesture to each other and attack Hino, who realizes that they intended to kill him from the beginning. They inject him with a fatal poison, but Kyotaro breaks in at that moment and opens the blinds, allowing light to enter and forcing the Invaders to vanish.
Hino tells Kyotaro to tell Yuki to forgive him. Kyotaro asks him how he can break the barrier and destroy the Gravity Machine. Hino replies that this is impossible--only the invaders and light can enter stopped time. Kyotaro realizes that Mirrorman transforms using light. The green bubble continues to expand, but Kyotaro transforms into Mirrorman directly outside the barrier and is reflected into it via the reflected light.
When Mirrorman attempts to destroy the Machine, his attacks are futile. Instead, he enters it. Within it are three Invaders in their true form. Mirrorman eventually defeats them and destroys the Gravity Machine, freeing the city from the time bubble.
From the ruined house, Hino calls Yuki and informs her that the Invaders are planning many more terrible plots. He dies, dropping the phone as Kyotaro enters. Kyotaro concludes that Hino sacrificed his life but won back his soul from the Invaders, while Yuki stands holding her telephone in silence. The episode ends as the Narrator wonders what the evil plots Hino mentioned will be.
