Trivia[]
- In this episode, Tiga has unique, raspier grunts in addition to his regular grunts. This may have been a delibrate choice to highlight Daigo/Tiga’s anger at Alien Muzan.
- Additionally, Tiga’s rise scene has a red background only in this episode, potentially for the same reason.
- According to Hirochika Muraishi, he was initially invited to be the main assistant director for Ultraman Tiga, but he had other commitments at the time, so he introduced Hiromasa Mitsudome to Tsuburaya Productions. When Muraishi later visited the set, they suggested that he try submitting a story outline.[1]
- The original concept for this episode was to depict a love story between an alien and Daigo, but much of the story was ultimately cut, with only the part about the girl running away remaining in the final product. Muraishi was also asked to rewrite the script.
- The original plot was somewhat different from the final version. In the early draft, an alien girl who had become a fugitive arrived on Earth. After her father came into contact with certain objects and transformed into a monster, the girl tried to escape from these objects. However, she eventually became a monster herself, and was ultimately defeated by Ultraman Tiga. However, this kind of ending, where the protagonist defeats someone they are meant to protect, would have been unpleasant, so the decision was made to go with the current storyline instead.
