The Real Ultraman (本当のウルトラマン, Hontō no Urutoraman) is the thirteenth and final episode of the first season of ULTRAMAN. It adapts chapters 46 to 50 of the manga.

Synopsis[]

The Ultraman trio are fighting a losing battle against the mercenaries, but just when things seem hopeless, Shinjiro's dormant power finally awakens.

Anime and Manga Differences[]

The battle against Ace Killer is radically altered:
- In the manga, Seiji's left arm is cut off before being shot by Ace Killer's men.
- Jack, Red and Shin do not join the battle. As a result, Jack does not escort Moroboshi off the battlefield.
- Ace Killer does not revive in the manga.
- Ace Killer's hatchet does not call down a bomb in the manga.
- The true identity of Bemular is revealed early.
- In the manga, Nepenthes falls victim to Shinjiro's Spacium Beam instead.
Bemular harassing the Alien Awazo for information on the airplane tragedy is not adapted.
The final scene is original to the anime.
