The Magic Stone is the thirty-fifth episode of Ultraman Cosmos.
Plot[]
Drawn in by a mysterious meteorite, people gather at a strange building. There, people are granted super-human abilities at the cost of losing their emotions. The building is actually Hypnotic Monster Ragstone, which was sent from space. Perils befalls Shinobu, who infiltrates undercover.

- Hideyuki Kawakami likens the episode plot to real life issues of the drug abuse in an easy to understand way for children.
- Instead of being driven aggressive in the same way to drug withdrawal symptom, it was written as just being collapse from it.
- As the series enters its mid-phase, several previously introduced characters begin to reappear. Although not yet revealed in this episode, the mysterious figure behind the summoning of Ragstone is actually Alien Nowar.[2]
- Producer Hiroyasu Shibuya explained that the concept for this episode was to gradually expand a mysterious, everyday incident into a larger event. It also serves as a spotlight episode for Shinobu, exploring his actions and his subtle relationship with Dr. Kawaya.
- The battle between Cosmos and Ragstone was staged with a set resembling a sports arena, creating a confrontation inspired by American football. One notable scene includes Ragstone ramming its head straight into a massive warehouse structure.
