The Lion's Cry Ultraman Z.
is the sixteenth episode ofSynopsis[]
The day has come for Horoboros, a monster that Yuka saw as a child, to awaken from its long slumber! The key to appeasing the raging Horoboros lies in a mysterious word recorded in an ancient document. Yuka sets out to decipher this writing, but Kaburagi's dark power is reaching out to Horoboros...!
Plot[]
A crazed Celebro brings a lot of monster samples and creates more Kaiju Medals. Meanwhile, Yuka becomes eccentric in the legend of Horoboros' awakening, knowing full well that its return happened on the same day the sun was facing a sunspot phenomenon. After getting Hebikura's permission, she drags Haruki along to her hometown in Shishigaoka.
Yuka reminisces her past with her great-grandmother, whom told her about the legend of Horoboros. The spot that had the mountain where it used to be at was a forbidden area. Out of curiosity, the young Yuka snuck out from her bedroom and wandered at midnight, where she caught a glimpse of the monster itself. Her story was dismissed by everyone except her great-grandmother. Ever since then, Yuka received her inspiration to become a monster researcher, to learn of other secrets that mankind had yet to discover. In the middle of wandering in a park, Yuka discovered what appears to be an ordinary conch shell, and her continuous "scavenger hunt" leads to the modernized location of the spot where she used to discover Horoboros. With the sunspot phenomenon occurring at noon, Horoboros rises from the ground.
After reading its article in the Pacific Records, Yuka decided to use the sound of the ocean waves, assuming that Shishigaoka used to be a seaside area in the distant past. Instead of calming down, Horoboros unleashes lightning bolts at multiple directions. After encouraging Yuka, Haruki transforms into Z Beta Smash to delay the monster a little longer. Yuka finally realizes that the conch shell is related to the riddle, and uses it to unleash a melody that soothes Horoboros into returning to its slumber.
Still ballistic from the loss of the Belial Medal, Celebro throws the Galactron MK2 and Gillvalis Medals into Horoboros, transforming it into what he calls 'Metsuboros'. The transformed monster went berserk from the agony of its transformation, defeating even the likes of King Joe STORAGE Custom. Seeing the monster's suffering and her melody no longer able to soothe its anger, Yuka was forced to request Z into giving Metsuboros a mercy kill. Z transforms into Delta Rise Claw and utilized the Beliarok to kill it, leaving behind its mechanical parts while Horoboros races to the afterlife.
Unfortunately, this is not the end of their troubles. From the sky, an Alien Barossa surprises Z with a barrage of energy bullets and zooms in, as the episode ends.
