The Execution, My Hero! (処刑!! 夢のヒーロー, Shokei!! Yume no Hīrō, lit. Execute! The Dream Hero) is the twenty-first episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.

Plot[]

Takeshi awakened after experiencing a nightmare of being crucified and awaiting execution from a gigantic Gridman. Taking his frustration for having nightmares, Takeshi gets the idea of giving everyone nightmares using the Dream Night microcomputer pillow that the townspeople of Sakuragaoka currently use. Takeshi designed and has Kahn materialized the monster known as Dazzlba to trap all the users of Dream Night into computer world in an eternal nightmare. Dazzlba used Naoto’s Dream Night as an infection vector for its hallucination beam.

The Sho family discover themselves sharing the same dream and dressed in their respective pajamas. As they wander around the dream world, they met the Baba family and Inoue family under the same situation. Gridman tries to alert Naoto through the Acceptor’s G-Call to no avail. Just then, a group of clowns appear to distribute fliers distributing Gridman’s execution. Seeing Gridman at the crucifix, the sleeping townspeople gather to discover a masked Takeshi and Kahn preparing to torture their captive and unleashed the clowns to the spectators to stop their rebellion.

From Junk, Gridman was forced to use Grid Kinesis to deliver an Acceptor to the dream world and awaken the trio to merge with Naoto and fight Dazzlba. Unfortunately, the Hyper Agent exhausted his energy to even fight the monster until Ippei and Yuka launched the Dragon Fortress to his aid. After finishing Dazzlba, Gridman repaired the Dream Night’s system for his dream world iteration to escape and fight against Kahn’s forces, therefore giving the townspeople a pleasant dream.

Kahn punished Takeshi for sleeping in the middle of his rant.

"Naoto, his friends and Gridman, with their hearts as well as courage to care about friends overcome the barrier between nightmare and reality. Naoto and his friends believe that someday, they can defeat Kahn Digifer in the real world."
