Trivia[]
- This is the first Ultraman Cosmos episode where the intro started before the opening.
- This episode marks the first appearance of Planet Juran, a location that will become an important setting in the series going forward.
- According to producer Shibuya, the depiction of EYES' journey into space specifically emphasizes Musashi's perspective as he travels into the cosmos, highlighting his childhood familiarity with "space." Despite the urgent circumstances, the production team aimed to convey Musashi's sense of awe and wonder toward the universe. When he exclaims, "This is space..." the intention was for the audience to resonate with his feelings.[1]
- The filming location for Planet Juran was selected at Iwafune Mountain. The production team combined compositing techniques to create scenes of the enormous spaceship, enhancing the desolate atmosphere of the setting. A significant amount of napalm explosions were used in these scenes, with additional post-production lighting effects to further intensify the dramatic visuals.
