Teruo Aragaki was a Japanese actor and suit actor for Ultraman and Ultraseven. He is notably the man who portrayed famous monsters such as Bemular, Red King and Zetton, as well as one half of the two-man suit piloted monsters, Dodongo and Pestar. He was sometimes credited by his real name, which is pronounced the same, but the first kanji is "新".
Career[]
Teruo Aragaki was also well-known for portraying Gamera in the three Gamera films. Former Daiei Film director Noriaki Yuasa stated that Teruo Aragaki was very nimble to be able to pilot the Gamera costume as the suit was equipped with reinforced steel.
Death[]
Teruo Arakagi suffered from idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and died in his sleep at the age of 77 in April 2014. He had been outside the entertainment industry for more than 20 years.
