Team SEA is an ocean defense force, which along with EYES, is a part of the organization SRC. They appear in Ultraman Cosmos 2: The Blue Planet.

Overview

Team SEA is a sub-team of SRC, the idea of its establishment is to protect marine life and aquatic monsters. They mainly operate in the Pacific region, and their headquarters are located in Rota Island in the Northern Mariana Islands. Their base is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, with virtual meeting rooms and a hangar for marine divers.

History

Ultraman Cosmos 2: The Blue Planet

During the Sandros incident, due to the Scorpiss attack on Rota Island, Musashi joined Team SEA and assisted in the battle, and then under the guidance of Alien Gyashi Shau, Team SEA also came to the race's hideout in the deep sea. They learn about the origin of Sandros and the tragedy that Alien Gyashi experienced.

Subsequently, Team SEA discussed the matter with the Earth Defense Force and agreed to let the Alien Gyashi assist them in protecting the Earth from Sandros. In the final battle, they cooperated with EYES and witnessed the moment when Cosmos and Justice defeated Sandros.

Captain Kido

Kido is the captain of TEAM SEA, and he was a founding member of SRC in the past.

Member Hyuga

Hyuga is the only female member of the team. She is capable of piloting ocean submarines and is also the team's mechanic and ace pilot.

Hyuga is portrayed by Risa Saito.

Member Kanou

Kanou is the team's marine biology expert and is good at computer-assisted operations.

Kanou is portrayed by Nobuyuki Kase.

Member Makabe

Makabe is the person in charge of receiving the tactical data link, has a timid personality despite having a strong physique.

Makabe is portrayed by Koji Nakamura.

Musashi Haruno is a temporary member of the team, who temporarily joined the team and cooperated during the Scorpiss event.

Due to the tropical climate of the Pacific Islands, SEA members usually wear tropical-style short-sleeved uniforms with piercings.

• Rounder Shot : Same type as EYES, but with further improvements to the device to make it more functional.

• TROY AS: A main machine of the SEA team. It is an improved version of Troy A. The body was designed by Kido. The fuselage is equipped with a laser cannon and cooling missiles.
• TROY BS: A main machine of the SEA team. It is an improved version of the Troy B. Often referred to as "Baby Core Superior." The body has improved mobility and is equipped with a laser cannon.
• Marine Diver: A special submarine capable of a wider range of underwater activities, an improved version of the Sea Diver. The submarine is tuned to mission characteristics such as the sensitivity of the manipulator and a maximum diving depth of up to 25,000 meters.

Trivia

• Regarding the introduction of the new defense teams "TEAM SEA," director Tsugumi Kitaura explained that since the ocean was a key element in the film, it made sense to establish a specialized marine investigation team. Given that SKC is a large organization, he felt there was no reason not to include such a team.
  • In reality, during the film’s planning and shooting stages, the actors from EYES were still busy filming the TV series, making it impossible for the entire cast to participate in the movie. As a result, a new team was created to assist with operations. Later, the schedule for EYES was adjusted, allowing both teams to appear together in the film.
