History[]
Ultraman: Another Genesis[]
Hailing from the Kingdom of Light, the death of the planet which resulted by Belial meant the death of his mother who perished with his homeworld. To restore his mother Taro ventured to find the pieces of the Land of Light and wished to use their power to restore her. This brought him in conflict with his two friends, Ace and Jack who both wished to use the piece they had found to revive a loved one. This lead to a battle between the three giants that resulted in great destruction on the planet they had found the piece. Ultimately their battle resulted in the eruption of a volcano. The three giants realized that the planet's primitive civilization was about to be wiped out because of their selfishness. Remorseful, the three leapt into the volcano and quelled its eruption.
It was later shown that he was alive, having met with the other Kin of King on Planet King to be told by Leo that King was dead.

Trivia[]
- Taro's redesign, mainly his trident and fish tails for feet, is likely based on several characters from Greek Mythology, particularly Poseidon the God of the Sea who also wielded a trident and Aquarius the constellation, who was often represented as a man with fish tails for feet and holding a vase, pouring water. He could also represent Pisces, which is represented as two fish.
- His trident is also a nod to his original incarnation's King Bracelet which could be transformed into a lance.
- This version of Taro is a reversal on his original incarnation's fire attacks.
