One of the Invaders' plots involved disguising one of their secret bases as a regular town in order to confuse SGM when Mirrorman appeared and began destroying it. Fujimoto disobeyed Dr. Mitarai's orders not to attack Mirrorman and fired at him, but realized the truth when Smoke Ness arose from the base. Although Mirrorman managed to defeat the monster, Fujimoto was distraught when the hero ultimately fell from exhaustion. SGM vs Mirrorman Fujimoto agonized over his mistake, first asking to be suspended from SGM then getting badly injured while recklessly getting close to Mogura King. After seeing Mirrorman's lifeless body stored at SGM's base, he ran into a forest in the rain and despaired, but upon hearing that Mogura King had reappeared, entered one of the Jumbo Phoenix's components and headed to its location. Believing himself responsible for Mirrorman's death, he planned to crash his ship into the monster, unaware that Mirrorman had reawoken. At the last moment, Kyotaro transformed and rescued him. After Mirrorman managed to defeat Mogura King, Fujimoto watched the hero in awe. SGM's Strategic Plan

Mirrorman Pilot Film[]

In the pilot, the character that was presumably developed into Fujimoto in the series is instead named Akio Konno (今野 あきお, Kon'no Akio) and is siblings with Yuki Konno. He met Kyotaro Kagami with the rest of SGM and was impressed when Kyotaro rescued his sister from the fire of a helicopter. Mirrorman Pilot Film
