Takeo is a young boy with similar appearance to Takeshi Todo. After saving a young boy named Jun from an accident and Yuka Inoue's bag from robbers, Takeo became fast friends with Naoto's gang and played with them. Takeshi can only watch from sideline out of jealousy and was hit by a stray basketball by accident. Despite Takeo offering his apology, Takeshi sees him as a target of vengeance, but tailing him leads to his own house.
Unable to find Takeo's name in the family registration office, Takeshi and Kahn Digifer sends out Chidogerah to sabotage the advanced model hand watches that Takeo presumably wear, in the process of harming the others who wear it too. Takeo rescued police officer Amagasaki when he fell victim into it as well until Gridman neutralized the situation. Takeshi later spotted Takeo walking to meet Naoto and his friends again, but just as he is about to kill his doppelganger with a boxcutter, Takeo turns into the image of Takeshi's younger self, giving him the yellow paper plane that he used to play. As Takeo disappeared, Takeshi falls into depression after realizing how far he had gone from his innocent childhood self.

- Takeo's true nature remains unknown, a fact that even the narrator acknowledges. The latter speculated that Takeo may be a representative image of Takeshi's hidden good side.
