Pre-Ultraman Mebius[]
In the past, Takato was a lively and cheerful child. He held a deep admiration for Ultraman and GUYS, aspiring to become a strong member of the GUYS team in the future.
However, three months ago, during summer vacation, Takato went to visit his relatives. While playing with his beloved dog, Alto, in the hills behind their house, he was attacked by Kelbim. In the chaos, Takato managed to hide in a safe place, but Alto remained in the open. When Kelbim launched a rockslide attack on Alto, Takato couldn't bring himself to step forward and rescue his dog. The terrifying appearance of Kelbim left a deep psychological scar on him.
When Aya and their uncle arrived at the scene, they found Takato hiding in a secluded spot, his whole body trembling with fear. Although Alto was miraculously unharmed, the incident caused Takato to close himself off emotionally. While he was terrified of the kaiju, what troubled Takato the most was his lack of courage to protect Alto during the attack. This left him feeling depressed and caused him to lose his former smile and dreams.
Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers[]
Three months later, when Mirai Hibino arrived in Kobe due to an unusual incident at Kobe Harbor, Takato reluctantly met him. Even though Hirokawa, a staff member at Suma Seaside Park, tried to cheer him up, Takato resisted and walked away from the scene. Afterward, Mirai learned about Takato's past through Aya and went to the harbor to find him. However, Takato remained distant and walked away coldly, stating that he no longer liked GUYS or Ultraman.
Encouraged by his senior comrades, Mirai decided to approach Takato in a new way. He asked Takato who he thought was the strongest among the Ultra Brothers. Takato answered that it was Zoffy, but Mirai explained that all of the Ultra Brothers were strong. It was only when their combined strength was united that they could display their true power. Even Ultraman alone would face enemies he couldn't defeat by himself. There could be enemies he might fear to fight against. It is through "helping each other" that they can achieve victory, turning the power of belief into courage. Takato could also pass this belief on to Ultraman.
Despite this, Takato remained unconvinced, so Mirai promised him that if Ultraman Mebius defeated the enemy in the next battle, he would show a V-sign, signaling that Takato's belief had been conveyed. The two made a pact together. Shortly after, Ultraman Mebius suddenly appeared in downtown Kobe. This led Takato to believe that Mebius had come to fulfill his promise to him. However, this Mebius was actually a fake, an impostor disguised by Alien Zarab, who immediately began causing large-scale destruction across the city. Witnessing "Mebius" ruthlessly attacking civilians triggered Takato's trauma from the time he saw Kelbeam.
The real Ultraman Mebius soon appeared and, after exposing Alien Zarab's disguise and defeating him, gave a V-sign to Takato. But immediately after, Mebius was attacked by Alien Guts. Using their intangibility technique, Alien Guts trapped Mebius in a devious plot, effortlessly confining him on a crystal cross. At the same time, a spaceship surrounded the city of Kobe with a barrier, preventing anything from entering or leaving.
Seeing the Ultra Brothers, who arrived to rescue Mebius, also get trapped on the crystal cross, and with Alien Guts combining their powers to deliver a devastating blow to Mebius, a plan was set in motion to release U-Killersaurus and cause worldwide panic. The people of Kobe began to evacuate en masse. Seeing this, Takato headed to Suma Seaside Park to find his elder sister and Alto. Despite being reminded of his trauma from facing the kaiju years ago, Mirai's spirit of "never giving up" inspired Takato to regain his courage and resolve to save Alto.
However, the seal on U-Killersaurus was eventually broken, leading to the resurrection of Yapool. After killing Alien Nackle, Yapool decided to eliminate all of the Ultra Brothers. A fierce battle erupted at Kobe Airport. Witnessing this, Takato declared that he would firmly believe the Ultra Brothers would not be defeated. This belief was strengthened by the appearance of Zoffy and Ultraman Taro, providing crucial support.
Yapool took Aya hostage by imprisoning her in U-Killersaurus's forehead and used U-Killersaurus's jaws to pin Mebius to the ground for a final attack. Although Yapool successfully launched his ultimate attack, the Ultra Brothers merged with Mebius, transforming him into Mebius Infinity. Mebius Infinity used his power to attack U-Killersaurus Neo and save Aya, causing the monster to disintegrate into dust.
Mebius Infinity entrusted Aya to Takato's care. When Aya awoke, Mebius fulfilled his promise to Takato by giving a V-sign in victory. As the sun set, the siblings watched Mebius Infinity separate into Mebius and the six Ultra Brothers. After the incident, Takato regained his former smile and rekindled his dream of becoming a GUYS member in the future. He bid farewell to Mirai, who was returning to the GUYS headquarters, alongside Aya and Alto.
