"Here, we will publish a chronology compiled by the staff of TPC’s Intelligence Department, which was obtained independently by the editorial department. This is a valuable document that provides a panoramic view of the activities of the Giants of Light and so on, from the establishment of TPC at the end of the 20th century."

TPC Chronology Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman Gaia , presented as a detailed chronological timeline of the World of Neo Frontier Space documented from the Staff of the TPC Intelligence Bureau , essentially an in-universe perspective to the audience.
is a two-page timeline table from the magazine The Wonderful World of Fantasy Tokusatsu:Conception[]
As detailed in the afterword, the timeline was independently obtained and publicized by the Asahi Sonorama's editorial department, providing a panoramic view of the activities of the Giants of Light and so on, from the establishment of the TPC at the end of the 20th century.[1]
The editorial department created the TPC Chronology based on the similarly named document written by Chiaki J. Konaka. The TPC Chronology was based on the latter, which was a reference material created to assist the staff during the production of Ultraman Tiga, as well as the Ultraman Dyna Relevant Chronological History from the Tsuburaya Productions Fanclub Newsletter Vol.54 . The editorial department was supervised by the Tsuburaya Productions during the making. Additionally, they received further assistance from Tsuburaya Productions’ Naoyuki Eto and Masato Oda, as well as writers Chiaki J. Konaka and Keiichi Hasegawa.[2]
Despite the editorial department's best attempts at making the chronology as accurate as possible, the entire document is not regarded as official material.[2]
Details[]
- Main article: World of Neo Frontier Space
The timeline started with the exploits of the original Earth Defense Force in their active period, researches of trails from the ancient era and a series of paranormal cases that occur worldwide, dating back as early as the year 1983. Souichiro Sawai of the United Nations proposed a worldwide demilitarization to achieve world peace and the formation of UNDF despite oppositions from various individuals. Through UNDF, various researches and organizations were established in hopes of benefiting mankind. TPC would be established under Sawai, and the militaristic UNDF would be downsized and integrated as TPC's Police Bureau, despite voices of protests from individuals like Tetsuji Yoshioka.
TPC came close to achieve world peace as they form GUTS as a rescue organization through handpicked individuals within TPC. However with the emergence of Golza and Melba, as well as the appearance of Ultraman Tiga, TPC reorganized GUTS as an anti-monster organization, with the Police Bureau taking precedence in the development of weapons and armed vehicles. Over the course of two years, TPC expands its military practice to other branches across the world and continues to do so even after Gatanothor's destruction. The fight with the ruler of darkness had Sawai consider relocating TPC's headquarters from Dive Hanger after the building suffers from damages due to Gatanothor's expanding darkness.
Tiga's disappearances do not deter the growing militarization of TPC, in fact reinforcing it to the point where the Police Bureau actually went behind TPC's back to launch Project F in hopes of weaponizing Ultra Ancient Giants like Tiga into fighting as part of their military might. However their actions resulted with the R'lyeh Tragedy that almost engulfed the entire world in darkness again. Although the incident was resolved through GUTS' intervention, the Police Bureau was heavily restructured after their corruption was exposed and the Intelligence Bureau seized all info pertaining to Project F under tight security in Omega Files.
Sawai stepped down from his position as a commissioner and was replaced by Kouki Fukami due to his illness. While militarization still continued, TPC also launched a terraformation program on Mars as part of expanding mankind to outer space. Among the volunteers were ex-GUTS members Daigo and Rena, the two starting a family on Mars and raising their daughter as the first Martian-born child in their own biopark. GUTS would be disbanded as each members went on their separate ways. In its place, the Super GUTS was formed by students of ZERO training school and operated on Grandome, the new location for TPC's headquarters.
In 2017, TPC faced against the threat of Sphere and the appearance of Ultraman Dyna as the new protector succeeding Tiga. Voices of criticism against TPC started to rise in response to its intense militaristic approach that appeared similar to its UNDF predecessor. From behind the scenes, the Police Bureau under Kihachi Gondou formed the Black Buster Corps as a special forces meant to operate in the shadows while keeping their existence a secret from general public. Gondou also spearheaded the construction of Prometheus, but after the hijacking incident, research of the use for Neo Maxima Cannon was locked away to prevent its misuse from happening again. The Police Bureau revert to their corrupt ways by secretly relaunching Project F on Mars and stealing its data and contents of the Ark capsule from under the Intelligence Bureau's nose.
By the year 2020, their theft of Project F was uncovered but by that point it reached completion into Terranoid through their abduction of Super GUTS member Shin Asuka, who they discovered as the host of Ultraman Dyna. Terranoid's destruction marks the advent of the Spheres against mankind by forming the Gransphere, but Super GUTS' use of Neo Maxima Cannon and their cooperation with Ultraman Dyna led to the end of the giant entity's threat. All the swallowed planets were returned, but at the cost of Dyna and Asuka disappearing into the black hole resulted from Gransphere's destruction. A new slogan was made, "Towards tomorrow", to signify TPC's campaign of moving forward with their space exploration program.
The timeline ended with the confirmed formation of Neo Super GUTS in the year 2027.
Trivia[]
- Despite its non-canon nature, the document's mention of Asuka's identity as Ultraman Dyna served as a foreshadowing to his dual life as an Ultra being made a public knowledge during the events of Ultraman Saga, 11 years in real life after this timeline's publication.
