Conception[]
Spheresaurus was designed by Masayuki Gotoh,[2] who was only given orders to "anyway, just make a giant monster".[3] Its large body proportion is intentional on director Masayoshi Takesue's part, who wishes to introduce more original and bigger monsters in Ultraman Decker.[4]
The eco-stra New Spheresaurus was designed by Toshimasa [5] This contest was held by Japan's Toys "R" Us for children below 15 years old, with the selected winner gets to have their design represented on an acrylic merchandise.[6] The theme for this redesign is for Spheresaurus resurrected from its fight with Ultraman Decker into mankind's ally.[7][8]

Pre-Ultraman Decker[]
Formed from the Sphere Soldiers fusing into one another,[3] the Spheresaurus is a series of monsters whose purpose is to absorb the energy of a planet which the Spheres had targeted and confined. After absorbing a significant amount of energy, it sends them to empower the Sphere Barrier and causing it to shrink even further to the planet's surface. By that point, Mother Spheresaurus would be summoned and presumably the Spheres would complete its assimilation with the targeted planet. Given that the statements were spoken by Decker Asumi, it is assumed that he had observed one such planet falling victim into those creatures, with Planet Bazdo being next on the list. A Promise for Tomorrow
Ultraman Decker[]
When Agams time-traveled into the distant past (a few years after the defeat of Evil Trigger), he brought the Spheres along with him. A Promise for Tomorrow Spheresaurus was unleashed by a King Sphere to attack the spaceport at Sorafune City, where it generated root-like structures from under its feet to gather energy from the Earth for a yet-unknown reason. It used its shockwave to disable the autopiloted GUTS Falcon and Nursedessei, as well as destroying anything nearby.
Ultraman Decker appeared, having fused with Kanata Asumi when the young man was devoured by a Sphere. Decker fought off the Sphere Soldiers as he made his way towards Spheresaurus, engaging with the beast in a battle. Decker managed to destroy its frontal horn before finishing off the monster using his Selgend Beam. He then went to fight off the other Spheres in space, but was unsuccessful and fell back down to the Earth. Day of the Attack
Another Spheresaurus appeared in the same location a year later, sent to absorb the energy that Sphere-Neomegas left behind. Ultraman Decker appeared once again, this tome accompanied by the Terraphaser. Midway through the operation, Agams hijacked the Terraphaser and turned against Decker, defeating him. Decker Asumi came from the future and took back the Ultra D Flasher, transforming into Ultraman Decker to fight against both opponents and used his three Dimension Card Monsters Miclas, Agira and Windom to hold down Spheresaurus, but the three of them were blown away by Terraphaser using Eleking's power. Birth of a Dark God Once Kanata acquired Dynamic Type, he defeated Spheresaurus by slicing it apart with the Decker Shield Calibur's Decker Flash Dynamic. A Promise for Tomorrow
A Spheresaurus was summoned from the future by Sphere-Geomos by using its S-Plasma engine to generate a hole in space and time. Spheresaurus continued to gather energy from the Earth in order to make the Sphere Barrier shrink and destroy the planet, but Kanata was unable to transform because of his wavering resolve to fight, having heard that humans brought the Spheres to Agams' home of Planet Bazdo and thus caused its ruin. GUTS-Select was also unable to defeat Spheresaurus because of Sphere-Geomos' overwhelming powers. After an initial defeat, they had come up with a plan to use the remaining S-Plasma energy to shoot through both monsters but once the plan was put into practice, Sphere-Geomos placed a barrier in front of itself, reflecting the Nurse Cannon's beam to Spheresaurus. Sphere-Geomos then absorbed the Spheresaurus' corpse as energy and was about to summon another one, but the Spheresaurus was destroyed by Ultraman Dyna before it could emerge from the portal. The Price of Prosperity
The Mother Sphere emerged from a wormhole when Agams commanded the Terraphaser to cause the Spheres to form Sphere Obelisks. Taking the form of Mother Spheresaurus, the creature fought Ultraman Trigger, who failed to defeat her even with the power of Glitter Trigger Eternity. The Sky of Despair Following Agams and Kanata's final battle, the Sphere Barrier surrounding Earth was broken with the destruction of the Sphere Obelisks, but Trigger and the Mother Spheresaurus descended on the Earth immediately afterwards. The monster defeated both Ultras and severely damaged the Terraphaser, killing Agams inside it before proceeding to drain the energy of the Eternity Core from beyond space-time, managing to recreate the Sphere Barrier once again. End of a Dream After regrouping within the downed Nursedessei, GUTS-Select and Kengo had to come up with a plan - Operation T/D/G[9] - to defeat Mother Spheresaurus, finding out about its weak point, the core on its chest, from data left behind in the Phase Riser. Challenging Mother Spheresaurus again, Kengo transformed into Glitter Trigger Eternity to forcefully drain the Eternity Core energy that Mother Spheresaurus had absorbed, transferring that power to Kanata so that he could transform into Ultraman Decker, who then fought the Mother Spheresaurus with the remaining arsenal of GUTS-Select.
"All becomes one. All life in all of the universe becomes one. In order to stop sadness and conflict. To exist as individuals creates conflict and makes a future of sadness inevitable. To merge everything and become the absolute being. To become the perfect lifeform. That is the future. One future... One future..."
- ―Mother Spheresaurus' intentions revealed
Mother Spheresaurus then unleashed a horde of Spheres to absorb everything within the vicinity, stating its intentions to become one with all life to remove all sadness and conflict, but Kanata and the others rejected its will, stating that they will take their own futures for themselves. Using all of his energy, Decker fired his Selgend Beam through Mother Spheresaurus' core, destroying the monster once and for all. With the Mother Sphere defeated, the remaining Spheres and the Sphere Barrier finally disappeared as well, reconnecting communications between Earth and space as the people from Mars started to return. - Powers and Weapons
- Front Legs: Spheresaurus' front legs are noticeably larger than most monsters', allowing it to create tremors by stomping the ground, battering weapons in against opponents and as makeshift shields.
- Energy Absorption: The front legs allow it to absorb energies from a planet.[1] Once enough energy is absorbed, Spheresaurus sends the energy from the protrusion on its back to the Sphere Barrier, drawing it closer to the planet's surface.
- Nasal Horn: In close combat, Spheresaurus can use its horn as a bladed weapon when the opponent is close within its proximity.
- Energy Beam: By absorbing Sphere-Neomegas' power, the second Spheresaurus could fire a splitting energy beam that homed in on multiple targets.
- Shockwave [1]
- Sphere Manipulation: Spheresaurus can use its shockwaves to control the Sphere Soldiers to do its bidding.
: From its back, Spheresaurus can unleash a green-colored shockwave that causes electromagnetic interferences.
