Trivia[]
- The theme of this episode is that it is impossible for a being to be inherently good or evil. Human judgment of 'good' and 'evil' is actually defined based on our own needs and conveniences, without any absolute standard. Even EYES' 'Monster Protection' plan is fundamentally about ensuring that humans are not harmed, rather than simply pursuing so-called justice or absolute peace.
- Producer Hiroyasu Shibuya introduces this theme at the end of the story — the boundary between 'good monsters' and 'bad monsters.' This decision directly influences whether a monster will be 'protected' or 'exiled.' The story highlights an ironic truth — the boundary between 'good monsters' and 'bad monsters' is actually determined by human subjective interests. This line is not fixed but changes according to human needs. Ultimately, the story does not provide a definitive conclusion, and all choices and definitions are still controlled by humans.[2]
