Trivia[]
- The main title of this episode references the Ultraman episode 1 "Ultra Operation No.1."
- The story in this episode bears some similarities to Ultraman Tiga episode 45 "Eternal Life," particularly in involving the main characters becoming trapped in hallucinations.
- According to Toshizo Nemoto, the original plan was to have the Kyriel team up with Giants of Darkness to fight against Trigger. However, the design was later changed to portray the Kyriel as characters capable of manipulating the Giants of Darkness at will.[1]
- Initially, there was an idea to have the members of GUTS-SELECT also fall into a similar atmosphere of suspicion, but director Kiyotaka Taguchi suggested, "Why not make the first half of the episode more comedic?" As a result, the episode was presented with a humorous tone on the surface. Director Taguchi also proposed the idea of dividing these two episodes into a "Heavenly Arc" and "Hellish Arc."
- Kiyotaka Taguchi mentioned that he believes the greatest charm of Ultraman Tiga lies in the fact that each episode is a self-contained sci-fi short story. He particularly loves the two episodes directed by Akio Jissoji (episode 37, "Flower," and episode 40, "Dream"). For this episode, he tried to incorporate elements similar to those in Jissoji's works, especially parts that reflect the atmosphere of those two episodes.
- The apartment in Maruru's dream was inspired by the Alien Metron's apartment from Ultraseven episode 8 "The Marked Town," and when the apartment is destroyed, the sound of escaping cats is added for extra effect.
Errors[]
- Glitter Trigger Eternity's rise scene shows it having blue Color Timers instead of red, when in the scene before, Trigger Multi Type already has his Color Timer flashing red.
