Trivia[]
- The plot of this episode was influenced by Kazuo Sagawa, who had a strong interest in ape-like creatures and proposed the concept of the "Yeti." Initially, the story intended to design the female Gigantes as a character with a drastically different form, creating an unusually beautiful female monster. However, it was ultimately decided to redesign her to align more with the male characteristics of Gigantes, and adjustments were made to her color scheme as a nod to the early Ultraman series style.[1]
- Additionally, to better portray the character, the production team created two versions of the Guignol puppets: one female and one male.
- The filming location was chosen in a forest near Chuo University, with the crew working to find a suitable forest setting to depict the emergence of Gigantes. Although the filming took place in January 1998, when the winter season had already set in, the crew still aimed to create an environment where an ape-like creature could plausibly appear.
- In this episode, the photos of the candidates for Ryo's blind date are actually members of the production team, including Yoshitaka Imaizumi, the second assistant director of Ultraman Tiga; Ken Koide, the art designer; Kenichiyoshi Matsuda, one of the production managers; Makoto Tamura, the special mechanical effects specialist; and Takeshi Yagi, the assistant director.
