Shunichi Okita is a former Japanese actor who portrayed Ichiro Yamanaka in Ultraman Ace. His real name is Tsuyoshi Yoshida and he also went by Shunichiro Okita .
Career[]
Okita made his debut in 1964 by starring in the film Homecoming and appeared in numerous other Nikkatsu films. In the 1970s, he transitioned into television, often portraying delinquents and thugs. In 1972, he became known for his role in Ultraman Ace.
After playing many villainous roles in period dramas and detective shows, Okita retired from the entertainment industry in the late 1980s. He and his wife opened a restaurant and bar called "La Shion" in Futako-Tamagawa, Tokyo.[1]
In the 2010s he returned to the public eye and reunited with his former Ace co-stars,[1] later joining Ace Channel alongside Keiji Takamine, Mitsuhiro Sano, Keiko Nishi, and Akinori Umezu in April 2021. The group conducts lectures, interactive sessions, and meet-and-greet events across Japan.[2][3][4]
