After graduating from Nihon University Art College, Taguchi entered Tsuburaya Productions with the goal of screenwriting in 1967. At the request of Tsuburaya Productions, he served as the assistant director of special works such as Ultraseven.
In 1971, TBS producer Yohji Hashimoto asked him to rewrite the eighth episode of Return of Ultraman late at night. Afterward, under the recommendation of the director of the Planning Department of Tsuburaya Productions, he wrote plans for Return of Ultraman and Mirrorman. and script. Halfway through Ultraman Taro in 1973, he left Tsuburaya Productions. After that, Taguchi became a freelancer and participated in the production of many anime and TV series.
During the 1970s and 1980s, he served as a screenwriter for some Tsuburaya productions.
