Sera is a character that appeared in Ultraman Nexus. She is an orphan girl from Southeast Asia.
Personality
Sera has a friendly and outgoing personality, which is clearly evident in her interactions with Himeya. She also dislikes having anyone close to her get involved in war, and therefore once tried to dissuade Himeya from going to take war photographs.
For Himeya, Sera holds a significant place in his life. After Sera's passing, he felt immense sadness because he was unable to save her, and it became a trauma that he carried within himself.

Sera's death
In the past, Sera lost her parents and siblings due to a war that broke out in her country. She earned a living by fetching water from a well in her village. After rescuing Himeya, who was critically injured on the battlefield, they formed a bond like siblings and shared many happy memories.
During an attack, Sera initially tried to dissuade Himeya from going to the battlefield. However, when she couldn't shake her concern for him, she went to the front lines to search for him. Unfortunately, she stepped on a landmine and was killed, witnessed and photographed by Himeya, causing him immense trauma.
After returning to Japan, Himeya refused to face the photo of Sara's death and instead felt guilty. When the photo of Sara gained strong worldwide response, Himeya, who could not ease his mind, ultimately chose to disappear and began wandering around the world. Ruins - Relic -

In a dream, Himeya appeared in spirit form and led Himeya to the ancient Mysterious Ruins, where he gained the power of "Light." However, Himeya viewed Sera's death as his own punishment and saw it as a reason to continue fighting despite the risk to his own life. Nightmare
When Himeya was controlled by Kutuura in the Land of Death and was about to be completely consumed by darkness, Sera's illusion appeared in his spiritual world. Sera revealed to him that he was chosen by the "light" for a greater purpose. They fought to protect those important to them and passed on this tradition from generation to generation. Sera encouraged Himeya to stay strong and expressed happiness to have met him.
She recorded her existence through photographs and bid farewell to Himeya before disappearing. This helped Himeya understand the true meaning of "light" and he was no longer lost. Hero
