Jonan Sports Center

Jonan Sports Center.

Omura is the head of a private organization called the "Jonan Sports Center (城南スポーツセンター, Jōnan Supōtsu Sentā)," which promotes sports activities. He is a gentle and humorous individual with a somewhat unreliable "kind uncle" image, but he possesses a strong sense of justice. He maintains a close friendship with Dan Moroboshi and takes good care of his employees, including Momoko Yamaguchi, Takeshi Nomura, and the new employee, Gen Otori.

After the Umeda siblings lost their father, Omura and the other staff members took care of them attentively. One day, during an event hosted by the Jonan Sports Center, the staff went to a picnic location. During the event, the children's parents also participated. However, for Toru Umeda, who had just lost his father, seeing his friends playing with their parents was extremely painful, and he could not enjoy the event.

JSC strange mechanical training

A strange mechanical training device designed by Dan and created by Omura.

When a Kanedoras appeared and started causing destruction, Gen entrusted Toru to Omura and Momoko and prepared to return to MAC to carry out his mission. However, this made Toru upset once again. When Gen returned to the MAC base, he had already missed the opportunity to fight and was reprimanded by Dan. That night, at Dan's request, Gen began training against a mechanical device created by Omura. However, at that moment, Kanedoras was once again approaching Earth. Gen wanted to join the battle, but Dan instructed him to continue the special training. Dan then informed Omura that the kaiju was about to appear and advised them to take shelter before returning to the MAC base. Omura and the others were busy sending the children home, but an emotionally distressed Gen and Toru insisted on staying behind.

Unfortunately, Kanedoras appeared near the sports club. During training, Gen kicked the training equipment, causing a blade to ricochet off the machine. Since Omura had practiced kendo in his youth, he instinctively caught the flying debris with a real sword. Meanwhile, Kaoru Umeda, who was evacuating, became worried about Toru and turned back, ending up caught in the battle between MAC and Kanedoras.

Gen transformed into Ultraman Leo and endured Kanedoras's attacks. During the battle, he recalled the true swordsmanship skills demonstrated by Omura, which inspired Leo to catch Kanedoras's boomerang attack. Ultimately, Leo achieved victory with a hand blade light slash.Don't Cry! You're a Man

Some time later, while returning from playing pachinko, Omura encountered an attack by Vekira. Unable to escape, he was rescued by Gen, who arrived at the scene. However, Gen was punished with confinement for disobeying MAC's orders.Deadly! The Monster Mastermind!

In his final appearance, while the other employees of the Jonan Sports Center were celebrating Momoko's birthday, Omura was late because he was training on his bicycle. While evacuating with other civilians during Garon's attack, he heard the cries for help from children inside a building. As he continued to evacuate, his flashy clothing caused Garon to follow his movements closely.

When Ultraman Leo appeared to fight, Omura stood by and encouraged Leo, but Leo continued to struggle against the formidable brother monsters. Just when Omura thought everything was over, a red sphere appeared from above—it was Astra, arriving on Earth. The brothers reunited and counterattacked Gallon and Litte. Ultimately, they won with a combined finishing move, with Omura and Dan witnessing the entire process from the scene.

In the end, Omura finally made it to the birthday party and presented Momoko with a bouquet of flowers. He also informed Gen that the Okamura brothers, who had been trapped in the building earlier, were safe after undergoing surgery. After this, Omura never appeared in the series again. The Leo Brothers vs the Monster Brothers

Trivia[]

  • Yu Fujiki's departure from Ultraman Leo is believed to be due to a scheduling conflict with TBS's BIRDIE, which aired every Saturday at 9 PM. As Fujiki was a regular cast member on that show at the time, this led to his absence from the series after episode 11.[1]
    • The scene in the final episode (episode 22), where he receives a bouquet, appears to be a farewell gesture marking his last appearance.[2]
