Seiji Miyata is one of the supporting characters of Ultraman Dyna. He is a new chief of staff officer of TPC.
Personality[]
Miyata is one of Fukami's assistants. He is a beloved person who has a mild and dovish way of thinking, with a gentle and kind personality. However, he does not usually look at things optimistically and instead tries to prepare for the worst-case scenario, making decisions calmly with a cool-headed attitude.
In addition, he has deep knowledge and experience, allowing him to make wise judgments and decisions in critical moments to protect himself and those around him.
History[]
Pre-Ultraman Dyna[]
Miyata, who served as a test pilot in the past.
Ten years ago, Miyata served as a test pilot for the "Neo Maxima Overdrive" technology and piloted Snow White to the moon base. However, during the test, he went missing and, due to the gravitational load, he fell into a coma and arrived on "Planet Gigaru". Once he arrived, he was attacked by Torongar until a female Alien Gigaru named Churasa appeared and saved him before he left the planet. Unfortunately, Churasa was killed by the monster.
Fifteen days later, Miyata was found drifting in the orbit of Mars by search and rescue personnel.
Ultraman Dyna[]
As TPC underwent expansion, Miyata was appointed as Japan's chief of staff and served as a supervisor for Super GUTS, frequently entering Grandome to issue directives from headquarters to the team. When Darambia attacked Mars, he and the other Chiefs of Staff held an emergency meeting with Hibiki and named the extraterrestrial life forms that posed a threat to humanity "Sphere."A New Light (Part 2)
Throughout the series, due to representing different positions and perspectives, he tended to use diplomatic means to resolve problems rather than force. This often put him at odds with Gondou, who prioritized protecting humanity and exterminating alien life forms and supported the allocation of resources to expand the military. These different positions and perspectives often led to disagreements between the two during meetings.
However, in one incident, when Toronga reappeared, Miyata lost his sanity and fell into a rage, which prompted Kouda to admonish him for not treating himself and his colleagues as cannon fodder.
Miyata's brief reunion with Churasa.
However, as Churasa's spirit also reached Earth, Miyata was able to reunite with her. Churasa gave Miyata her Gigaru gun and Churasa's tears, a jade that weakened Torongar, which helped him regain his spirit and set out to track down the monster to avenge Churasa's death.
Miyata later equipped Churasa's tears onto the Gigaru gun and shot Toronga's heart, causing it to lose its regeneration ability and allowing Ultraman Dyna to destroy it with the Solgent Beam.
During the final battle against the Spheres, he and the other staff members gathered at the Grandome and felt despair about the future of the solar system being destroyed by the Spheres. However, with the support of Sawai and Iruma, who arrived at the Grandome, he suggested trusting his subordinates and witnessed Ultraman Dyna sacrificing himself to defeat the Spheres and save the solar system.Final Chapter III: Toward Tomorrow...
