Trivia[]
- This is the first appearance of the Team Seagull's members Renji Matsuo and Michael Simmons.
- According to the episode's writer, Ai Ota, the enemy was conceived as an object that could liquefy or heat up. However, such a representation proved challenging to portray, so the element of gravity causing the object to sink was added. The enemy's initial appearance and continued threat were designed to allow Team Seagull to have a longer screen presence.[2]
- According to the episode's director, Hirochika Muraishi, the building destroyed by Rezaito was a miniature model. To achieve a realistic portrayal of a collapsing structure, the team worked to seamlessly blend special effects with live-action footage. The key challenge was ensuring the destruction matched their vision, with careful editing of the miniature's collapse alongside the actors' performances to amplify tension. For Rezaito's sinking scene, the limited size of the models posed additional challenges, demanding meticulous effort to enhance realism.
