History[]
Ultraman Gaia[]
For one of the phases in the operation against Gokigumon, XIG decided to fire bomb the kaiju and a nest-turned high-rise building. Team Seagull and their vehicle Fantop were deployed to the mission area and put on standby to counter any potential secondary disaster. The operation phase commenced but the kaiju deflected the fire bomb, causing it to detonate on a nearby building. The Fantop moved into position and launched a fire extinguishing shell, immediately neutralizing the fire. The Demon's Cocoon
Data[]
- Stats
- Modes
- Container Mode [1]: As a Container Mecha, the Fantop can transform into a compact hexagonal form that can easily be transported by air via the Peace Carry.[4]
- Fighting Mode [1]: To transform into its mobile form, the cockpit block would slide out and the four wheel blocks would flip outward.
- Arsenal
- Laser Gun [2][4]: The Fantop is armed with two laser guns, one on each side of the cockpit. Due to the nature of the Fantop's firefighting role, these guns are rarely used.[4]
- Fire Extinguishing Shell Launcher [2]/Top Snorkel [5]/Arm [6]/Ladder [3]: A folding ladder-like projectile launcher located atop the vehicle. Its multi-articulation design allows the operator to aim at different angles.
- Fire Extinguishing Shell [3]: A projectile that explodes mid-air. The mist-like substance it releases puts out fires.
- Light [4]: A system of eight high-power and two normal lights concentrated at the front helps the Fantop navigate through disaster zones with poor visibility.
- Thermal Imager [4]: A thermal imaging camera that allows the operator to search for life signs inside disaster zones, such as collapsed buildings.
- Rescue Hand [7]: A robotic arm that is used for removing debris and extracting the injured.
- Complement
A standard crew consists of a driver and operator. The Fantop also has room for transporting the injured.[4]

Trivia[]
- The design is based on a chemical fire truck.[8]
- A single remote-controlled prop miniature was built. No miniatures were made for the Container Mode.[2]
- The prop was later modified into the GGF Self-Propelled Laser Cannon, which appeared in the 18th episode of Ultraman Blazar.[9]
