History[]
Pre-Ultraman Z[]
In her childhood, Ruri often went on outings with her father Kojiro, visiting places like zoos and museums. One of the most memorable experiences for Ruri was witnessing her father's work as a technician. He proudly told her, "Creating robots that can safeguard life is my job." This statement deeply inspired Ruri.
As an adult, Ruri became the Head of Research at the National Institute for Biological Science and embarked on long-term research in Canada. There, she created the world's first artificial life form, M1, and discovered various potential medical applications within M1's cells.

After three years apart, Ruri returned to Japan with M1 to present her research at an academic conference. After settling M1 at the research institute, with the assistance of her aide Kurata, she finally had the chance to meet her father again after a considerable amount of time.
As they discussed memories of the past, she asked her father if there was anywhere he wanted to go. Taking the initiative, she proposed that they visit her father's workplace, the STORAGE headquarters. There, for the first time, she met the members of STORAGE and saw her father's personally maintained King Joe STORAGE Custom. Witnessing her father's dedication to his work, she couldn't help but be moved to tears.
When Kojiro escorted Ruri to the research institute, she proposed meeting M1 in person. However, upon entering the institute, they discovered that M1 was missing. They witnessed a scene where Kurata and his group were attempting to abduct M1. As it turned out, Kurata was actually a spy. Due to the infiltration of the research institute where Ruri worked, they planned to kidnap M1.
However, during the abduction process, M1 was accidentally exposed to a high-voltage current, causing it to grow into a giant and leading the situation to spiral out of control. When M1 engaged in combat with STORAGE, Ruri attempted to soothe M1 and presented the gift she had given it initially, hoping to bring back its consciousness. However, after STORAGE launched a tranquilizer, M1 fell into a state of slumber as well.
Subsequently, when GAF demanded that STORAGE immediately eliminate M1, Ruri expressed to Hebikura that M1 didn't truly want to harm humans, and she hoped that the members of STORAGE could attempt to save M1. When her father stated that "eliminating it might save more lives," Ruri countered this, believing that M1's life was also significant, leading to a discord between father and daughter.
When discussing possible methods to restore M1, Ruri suggested using a cellular regressor agent to revert it to its original state. Consequently, STORAGE decided to buy time as a buffer, and with Yuka's assistance, Ruri began crafting the cell division regression agent. However, it came with a condition: if M1 caused destruction by approaching the city, it must be terminated.

Ruri reconciles with father.
In the final moments, Ruri finally completed the cellular regressor agent. Unfortunately, due to missing the crucial timing, GAF had already issued the termination order. After Kojiro fought for one last opportunity, with the assistance of Ultraman Z and King Joe STORAGE, Kojiro successfully administered the reversal agent to M1, causing it to return to its original size.
Afterward, Ruri reunited with M1. She expressed that her father had always been the person she admired most, leading to an official reconciliation between them.
