[1]

  • This episode pays homage to Ultraseven episode 38 "The Courageous Battle," with a tribute to the Crazygon. The special effects cinematographer for this episode was Kiyoshi Suzuki, who later became a producer at Tsuburaya Productions.
  • According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, this episode can be considered the fourth installment of the "Eclipse Mode" arc. The story revolves around the Chaos Organism possessing Musashi's close friend, Clevergon. To exorcise it, the precise use of the Cosmium Beam is required, and accuracy is crucial. Even with the power of Eclipse, without Musashi's help, Clevergon cannot be saved, leading Musashi to struggle with his inner turmoil.
  • In terms of special effects, the episode successfully recreated the Crazygon image from the past. Clevergon, with its complex mechanisms, posed a significant challenge due to budget constraints in creating the monster suit. However, thanks to the efforts of the monster-making team, they were able to achieve a balance that avoided distortion or awkwardness in the final result.
