Reni dies in Germina III accident.

Based on the member profile information from SRC, Reni Kurosaki was born on July 27, 1981, in Yokohama, Japan, and obtained a PhD in Applied Energy Balance from the University of Radiation and Technology.

Four years ago, in 2005, Reni was selected to become an astronaut and a construction team member for the SRC space station "Germina III." At that time, the team members considered the construction of "Germina III" a significant achievement, referring to the spaceship as the "Daughter of Time." However, during an incident, an anomaly occurred in the space airlock, causing Reni to be swept out of the cabin and lose her life. Due to this incident, the construction of "Germina III" was temporarily suspended.

Reni's body floated in the cold vacuum of space until it was discovered by Waroga. Waroga decided to revive her by installing a modulator biochip in her brain and sent her back to Earth.

Reni's first appearance.

Five years later, with the completion of Germina III, the cosmic entity Waroga appeared on Earth. Reni Kurosaki was attacked by Waroga in a wasteland and was rescued in the nick of time by Ultraman Cosmos, also known as Musashi Haruno of EYES. She was taken to Treasure Base for treatment afterward. However, during the revival process, Reni lost her memory of the initial space station accident and even forgot her identity and past. The SRC medical center believed that she had lost her memory due to severe trauma.

The biochip synchronized with Waroga's life force, implanting romantic feelings for Musashi in Reni. As a result, her relationship with Musashi quickly became intimate, and Musashi gradually fell in love with her. Through conversations with Musashi, Reni understood the purpose of EYES and considered the ideal of humans and Earth monsters coexisting to be remarkable. She attempted to regain her lost memories through memos, writing down "Daughter of Time," a phrase that surfaced in her mind while reminiscing.

As her memories gradually resurfaced, Reni drew images resembling "Germina III." This led the EYES team to discover her true identity, confirming that she was the deceased from the "Germina III" incident. The medical center diagnosed that a biochip had been implanted in her forehead post-mortem, simulating life activities through special pulses emitted by the chip. vice-captain Shinobu Mizuki suspected this was part of Waroga's plot and arranged for Reni to enter Treasure Base to achieve its goals. Despite being controlled by Waroga, Reni was still influenced by her original personality, leading her to mistakenly believe she was still alive. If the chip were removed, she would revert to her deceased state within minutes. Meanwhile, Musashi went to the university Reni had attended and inquired about her past from Professor Seki.

EYES deemed it extremely dangerous for Reni to be used by Waroga as an invasion weapon. To prevent alarming her, they put her into cryogenic sleep under the guise of "memory restoration treatment." Upon learning this, Musashi, unwilling to let Reni disappear, immediately went to the Medical Care Base and rescued her. Meanwhile, Waroga manipulated the kind-hearted ancient monster Galbas to fight humans, causing humans to develop an aversion to monsters and attempting to end the "monster protection" concept. Waroga's ultimate goal was to implant a sense of threat from monsters in humans, leading them to not only annihilate monsters but also all Earthly life forms, thereby achieving domination over Earth.

Reni recalled all the memories.

While Musashi transformed into Ultraman Cosmos to fight, Reni, left in Shepherd's car, accidentally discovered photos of the "Germina III" team members. This triggered her memory of having died and being implanted with a biochip. Additionally, EYES' prior analysis of the biochip led to a computer virus being implanted in their base's systems, causing EYES' mechanical systems to malfunction. At the peak of Galbas' attack, all EYES' technology failed. This situation worsened when JADF intervened, leading Galbas to flee underground and EYES being ordered to cease operations.Daughter of Time: Part 1

After the incident, Reni disappeared. Musashi learned that if Waroga was destroyed, Reni would also vanish. The monster protection initiative faced potential negation due to differing human perspectives. JADF's special forces began searching for Reni's whereabouts. Reni returned to her former university and regained all her memories, except she was still puzzled as to why she was alive.

When JADF located Reni, Musashi arrived at the university just in time to save her. They successfully evaded pursuit and hid in a ruin. Musashi confessed to Reni that he believed the ideal of protecting monsters was mere fantasy. However, Reni reassured him, mentioning that the construction of the space station a century ago was also considered a dream, and many people aspired to it and sacrificed their lives for it. The same principle applied to the construction of "Germina III." Her words reignited Musashi's determination to continue pursuing his dream.

"Five hundred years ago, no one ever thought the Earth was round. So when sailors first tried to find continents beyond the sea, everyone said, "It's impossible," "It's just a fairy tale." A hundred years ago, when people first tried to fly in small airplanes, when they first aimed for space, everyone still said, "It's just a fairy tale." Until it was achieved, it was always just a fairy tale. Yet many nameless souls have sacrificed their lives dreaming and passing on those dreams. We, the construction crew, called Germina III "the Daughter of Time" because we were proud to be among those who carry on the dream. Musashi... weren't you the same? Trying to live alongside the monsters born on Earth, believing that it's possible... Such a story might be a fairy tale now. But haven't you always believed that someday it will come true? "

Meanwhile, EYES discovered that Waroga's modulator had been installed in Galbas' brain, and his target was likely the high-frequency energy plant in the G3 area. However, stopping the plant's operations required professional expertise. Reni volunteered to go, and she and Musashi headed to the plant. When they entered the plant, Mizuki and Fubuki also arrived on the scene. Mizuki stated that although none of this was Reni's fault, he still asked her to stop her actions. Reni responded that if she were in Mizuki's position, facing a potential enemy, she would do the same. This prompted Mizuki and the others to take the risk of sending Reni into the plant to prevent JADF's pursuit. Inside the plant, she used the technical knowledge she had learned from "Germina III" to stop the turbine, restoring Galbas' sanity. However, this also caused her to become physically exhausted.

After helping Musashi shut down the power plant and thwart Galbas' attack, Waroga, no longer able to control Galbas, struck him with lightning. Reni urged Musashi, as Ultraman Cosmos, to stop Waroga's scheme and revealed that Waroga had implanted false romantic feelings in her from the beginning. However, this did not diminish the genuine emotions she had developed while spending time with Musashi. At Reni's plea, "Use your power to make me human again," Musashi transformed without his usual shout of "Cosmos!".

Reni's disappearance.

Although Waroga attempted to disrupt Ultraman Cosmos through teleportation, Reni rendered this ability ineffective. Waroga was then destroyed by the Blazing Wave attack in Ultraman Cosmos Corona Mode.

However, the biochip also ceased to function, causing Reni to vanish as well. After everything ended, Musashi held the photo, reflecting on Reni's words, and reaffirmed his determination to achieve the dream of protecting monsters.Daughter of Time: Part 2
