Production
To pioneer their own brand of giant superheroes, T.C. Ruishi Co. Ltd., the licensors for the classic Ultraman shows in China per Chaiyo Productions' decree based on the fraudulent 1978 agreement between Sompote Saengduenchai and Noboru Tsuburaya, collaborated with other companies to produce animated and live-action works.
One of these ventures was Red Jade, a live-action tokusatsu film combining CGI elements and special effects, produced in collaboration with American independent film company Worldwide Film Entertainment. A promotional teaser trailer for the film was released in mid-2013, featuring a blend of suit action and 3D models.[5]
In 2014, the character was promoted in a T.C. Ruishi booth at a Chinese toy convention alongside Sinic Giant and Sinic Q.[6] In the same year, news outlets reported that the film would see a 2015 release, and that financing for the film was underway.[4] No further information was revealed.
