Trivia[]

[1]

  • According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, although the episode ends on a tragic note, it reinforces one of the series’ core themes: "As long as you believe, dreams can come true." However, reaching that dream requires confronting reality. Rather than presenting a fairytale-like story where everything goes smoothly, the episode aims to convey that dreams are only truly attainable by overcoming harsh realities.[2]
  • During the production of the series, there was actually only one Shepard vehicle available. However, through the use of compositing techniques, this episode successfully created the shot of two Shepards operating simultaneously. In the opening scene featuring the monster’s appearance, the "Harukaze Combi" performed the driving themselves, with no stunt doubles used.
  • CosmosSevenScene
The scene where Ultraman Cosmos fights with Neldorand Mechalator in the afternoon is similiar to Ultraseven fights with Alien Metron in Ultraseven episode 8 "The Marked Town".
