This week's Choryu News article covers a peculiar incident that happened during the events of Ultraman Blazar episode 23 "Visitor 99", where a 26-year-old man, referred to as Mr. Dore (ドーレさん, Dōre-san), single-handedly fought off a 15 m (50 ft) class Taganular and lured it away from a Teaterium facility in Australia. This is a reference to actor Dore Kraus, who played Jack Shindo in Ultraman: Towards the Future and was 26 years old when the series first aired in the United States.
- Moreover, the Teaterium researcher who praises Mr. Dore for his heroic actions, referred to as Ms. Gia (ジーヤさん, Jīya-san), is a reference to actress Gia Carides who co-starred with Dore Kraus as Jean Echo of the UMA.
