Power of the Ultra Brothers

Power of the Ultra Brothers (รวมพลังพี่น้องอุลตร้าแมน, lit. Unite the power of the Ultraman brothers) are a series of direct-to-DVD movies licensed by TIGA Ent.. The movies were released in two boxsets, coming with both the original Japanese dub and a new Thai dub, and a special collectible gift:

  • Ultraman Special: Birth of the Ultra Knights (Ultraman Special กำเนิดอัศวินอุลตร้า): A five-episode compilation film set showcasing the first episodes of the first five Ultraman shows after Ultra Q. Came with a golden Ultraman bust.
  • Ultraman Taro the Movie (อุลตร้าแมนทาโร่ เดอะ มูฟวี่): Ultraman Story released in both DVD and VCD formats. Came with an Ultraman Taro statue in both normal and gold editions.

Ultraman The Movie Collection

Ultraman The Movie Collection are a series of direct-to-DVD Ultraman feature films, including those not from the classic Ultraman shows, copyrighted to Sompote Saengduenchai. Comes with the original Japanese dub and a new Thai dub, with Thai subtitles. Each volume retails for 280฿.

Other home video

Over the years, official home releases of the Ultraman series in international markets have been affected by the unauthorized releases licensed by TIGA Ent. and T.C. Ruishi. In countries like China and Southeast Asia, there exists different dub tracks produced for episodes of the series:

  • Official dubs authorized by Tsuburaya Productions and its partners usually see a television broadcast before being converted for home releases, and often an official Tsuburaya Productions sticker label is pasted onto the covers.
  • Unofficial dubs by T.C. Ruishi and other small companies are directly distributed through VCD/DVD. Often, the Chaiyo Productions/Ruishi version of the Ultraman logo and/or the 咸蛋超人 logo will be seen on these releases. Do not be fooled if Tsuburaya Productions is credited in the fine print.

Ultraman Chronicles (เปิดตำนานอุลตร้าแมน ULTRAMAN CHRONICLES, lit. Unveil the Legend of Ultraman) is a collection of books licensed by TIGA Ent. and published in 2012 by MAST. Each issue retailed for 139฿. Besides covering the Ultra heroes and Kaiju, the books also cover behind-the-scenes stills and production information from the Ultraman franchise, similar to the Entertainment Archives.

Super Heroes Album: Jumborg A

Super Heroes Album: Jumborg A is a magazine licensed by Chaiyo Productions. Featuring characters and monsters from the Jumborg Ace series and Jumborg Ace & Giant, the magazine also offers behind-the-scenes stills and production information, similar to the Entertainment Archives. It retailed for 85฿.

Fun Science Series with Ultraman

Fun Science with Ultraman (ชุดวิทยาศาสตร์มหาสนุกกับอุลตร้าแมน) is a Thai series of four picture activity books with fun science puzzles and learning trivia for children.

  • Ultra Family and Science to Know (ครอบครัวอุลตร้ากับวิทยาศาสตร์น่ารู้): Why do you get a toothache from eating too many sweets? How does a rocket work? And why is there snow on the top of the mountain? Children can search for these answers and enjoy fun science puzzles alongside the Ultra Brothers.[1]
  • Fun Science (หรรษาวิทยาศาสตร์): Can we open the refrigerator instead of the air conditioner? Why do you put salt in the ice cream bucket? Children can search for these answers and enjoy fun science puzzles alongside the Ultra Brothers.[2]
  • Fun Excursion (ทัศนศึกษามหาสนุก): How do animals live in the desert? And why doesn't the water in the lake freeze? Children can search for these answers and enjoy fun science puzzles alongside the Ultra Brothers.[3]
  • Hilarious Trip to the Sea (เที่ยวทะเลสุดเฮฮา): Why is the sky blue? Why can't we drink sea water? Children can search for these answers and enjoy fun science puzzles alongside the Ultra Brothers.[4]

Ultraman Rises Again

Ultraman Rises Again (咸蛋超人再行动, Xián dàn chāo rén zài háng dòng) is a Chinese children's puzzle comic series of five books written by Huang Feng (黄峰) and illustrated by Lan Yang (兰洋). It was published by Jilin Publishing (吉林摄影出版社) and licensed by T.C. Ruishi in 2010, retailing for 15.80¥ per issue.

  • Volcano Thunder Plan A (火山雷霆A计划, Huǒs hān léi tíng A jì huà): A ghostly fire monster has entered the Earth's atmosphere, and with its arrival is a monster egg dropped into the crater of Mount Fuji! While the monster rampages in the city, the egg slowly hatches, threatening to give birth to more monsters. Only Taro, Seven and a firefighter Lauren can save the day![5]
  • Underground Palace Ambush (勇闯地心宫殿, Yǒng chuǎng dì xīn gōng diàn): Jack, the Father of Ultra and a new blue hero battles their way through monsters in the underground palace in this exciting puzzle book![6]
  • Sea Dragon Confrontation (血战海毒龙, Xuè zhàn hǎi dú lóng): To save the Earth, Zoffy and Ace fight a bloody battle against an ancient sea monster![7]
  • Interstellar Hunt (星际大追捕, Xīng jì dà zhuī bǔ): The commander of the Universal Alliance was suddenly assassinated, and Alien Darun took over, but he was opposed by the Alien Stan. For this reason, Darun framed the Stan mage Rado and ordered his arrest. In order to protect Rado, the human girl Lan Xin'er and Lado fled to Yanyan Star together, chased by Darun's assassins. What will the Mother of Ultra do in this situation?[8]
  • Space-Time Rescue Operation (超时空营救, Chāo shí kōng yíng jiù): The original Ultraman traverses space-time in this action-packed rescue operation![9]

Ultraman: Empera Saga

Ultraman: Empera Saga (咸蛋超人珍藏漫画, Xián dàn chāo rén zhēn cáng màn huà, lit. Ultraman comic collection), also known simply as Ultraman (奥特曼), is an original Chinese comic series written by Liu Hao (刘浩). It was licensed by T.C. Ruishi and originally published by 吉林摄影出版社 (Jilin Publishing) in 2012 but later reprinted by 江西美术出版社 (Jiangxi Fine Publishing) in 2015, retailing for 12.80¥ per issue.

The four-issue story tells of Ultraman's galactic adventures as he faces familiar foes like Zetton and finds a new power in a bond with an alien comrade, as he stands up as the only hope for the Land of Light against Alien Empera's empire.

  • Ultraman 1: Zetton's Mysterious Trick (奥特曼1杰顿的神秘绝招): Ultraman patrols the galaxy and is suddenly ambushed by his old foe, Zetton. Just when Ultraman defeats the Space Dinosaur, he is sent through a dimensional rift to parts unknown. Later reprinted under the title Ultraman is Caught in the Mysterious Vortex (超人被卷入了神秘漩涡).[10]
  • Ultraman 2: Empera's Absolute Conspiracy (奥特曼2安培拉星人的惊天阴谋): Ultraman is stranded on a barren planet, and finds himself face-to-face with Mefilas! Exhausted from the previous fight, it seems Ultraman is about to lose... but a mysterious figure saves him! Later reprinted under the same title.[11]
  • Ultraman 3: Assault the Enemy Base (奥特曼3突袭安培拉星人基地): A lone Alien Darach (达拉奇星人) rescues Ultraman from certain death, and grants him a new power to fight Alien Empera's forces. With your new power, assault the enemy base and defeat Grozam, Ultraman! Later reprinted under the title Ultraman Strikes Back (超人绝地反击).[12]
  • Ultraman 4: Ultraman VS The King of Darkness (决战黑暗大帝, lit. Decisive battle against the king of darkness): Alien Empera unleashes the Petrification Cannon against the Land of Light, turning its inhabitants into stone statues! The universe's only hope lies in Ultraman... will he be able to save the day? Later reprinted under the title Ultraman VS The Emperor of Darkness (决战黑暗皇帝).[13]

Ultraman: Beginnings

Ultraman: Beginnings (咸蛋超人系列漫画, Xián dàn chāo rén xì liè màn huà, lit. Ultraman series comic) is an original Chinese comic series written by Shi Zhong Jie (施仲杰). It was licensed by T.C. Ruishi and published by Hubei Children's Press (湖北少年儿童出版社) in 2008, retailing for 12.80¥ per issue. Each issue came with a VCD. It was followed by a sequel, Ultraman: Reincarnation of Māra.

The six-issue story is a modern retelling of the Ultraman stories, introducing a brand new cast of characters and enemies in familiar settings from the classic shows. Each issue recounts the adventures of each Ultra Brother, and eventually concludes with the brothers coming together to fight a common foe.

  • Ultraman (宇宙超人): After a million-light-year pursuit, the galactic warden Ultraman chases a monstrous criminal to Earth. Out on patrol, Shin Hayata encounters Ultraman's travel sphere and accidentally crashes into it, ending his life prematurely. However, the giant of light, guilt-stricken by the young man's death, offers to fuse with him and offers the Beta Capsule. The story begins here... [14]
  • Ultraseven (超人赛文): Ultraseven faces off against an ancient creature.
  • Ultraman Jack (超人杰克): Ultraman Jack uncovers the plot of Alien Baltan while dealing with a robot soldier in the city!
  • Ultraman Ace (超人艾斯): Ultraman Ace receives help from his Ultra Brothers to fight the terrifying super-weapon Ace Killer and his robot weapon!
  • Ultraman Taro (超人泰罗): Ultraman Taro is put in a serious pinch when he encounters the volcanic monster, Birdon, but is saved by an angelic being from the heavens.
  • Ultramen (超人家族): The appearance of the vengeful fusion monster, Tyrant, threatens peace in the galaxy! To prevent the monster from raising hell on Earth, the Ultra Brothers team up to stop this menace once and for all.[15]

Ultraman: Reincarnation of Māra

Ultraman: Reincarnation of Māra (咸蛋超人漫画系列, Xián dàn chāo rén màn huà xì liè, lit. Ultraman comic series) is an original Chinese comic series written by Wang Han Bing (王寒冰). It was licensed by T.C. Ruishi and published by Hunan Children's Press (湖南少年儿童出版社) in 2011, retailing for 12.90¥ per issue. It is the sequel to Ultraman: Beginnings.

The four-issue story is centered around Xiao Long (小龙), the reincarnation of an ancient Māra monk, who experiences visions of an ominous future dominated by demons and ancient evils. Together with Chen Xiao Dong (陈小冬), Ultraman Taro's human form, the angel Nana (娜娜) and the Ultra Brothers, they face wicked creatures and godly beings from mythology, who threaten to bring ruin upon the world.

  • Reaper of Ancient Egypt (决战！古埃及的死神, lit. Decisive battle! Death god of ancient Egypt): An archaeological team accidentally releases Anubis, the ancient Egyptian deity of death! As darkness engulfs the sky, Taro and Seven arrive in the nick of time and team up to bring down Anubis. However, just when the fight reaches a stalemate, a blinding light descends upon the Earth and dispels the ancient darkness...[16]
  • Door of Darkness (黑暗之门开启, lit. The door of darkness opens): The one who vanquished the evil was none other than Xiao Long, the reincarnation of a powerful monk from a bygone era. Left powerless, however, he is kidnapped by a group of cultists, who plan to use him as a sacrifice to summon the ancient demon king Ravana into the world. Will Xiao Dong and Nana be able to stop Ravana and his seven generals, and close the door of darkness?[17]
  • Nightmares and Reality (梦魇成真, lit. Nightmares come true): Xiao Long has always had premonitions of dancing demons in a burning world, as if a scene out of an apocalyptic story. Just then, the sky turns crimson, and thousands of demonic creatures come raining down! Xiao Dong summons Taro and calls upon his Ultra Brothers, as they fight with Nana's assistance. But what exactly is that ball of lightning in the sky...?[18]
  • Wrath of Indra (危机！愤怒的雷神, lit. Danger! Wrathful lightning god): The lightning ball reveals its true form: it is the super-powerful Indra! Fueled by the power of a hundred monsters, the god of thunder calls upon Indra's Hammer. Even with Nana's feathers, the Ultra Brothers stand no chance against such an overwhelming opponent. Just then, Xiao Long unleashes the monk's true power...!? [19]

Ultraman: Galactic Adventures

Ultraman: Galactic Adventures (漫画天地：咸蛋超人宇宙历险, Mànhuà tiāndì: xián dàn chāo rén yǔ zhòu lì xiǎn) is an original Chinese comic series written by Tan Shu Hui (谭树辉). It was licensed by T.C. Ruishi and published by Jiangxi Fine Publishing (江西美術出版社) in 2010.

The four-issue story follows the Ultra Brothers as they attend an intergalactic school to polish their monster-fighting skills, and explores the bonds between the Ultras, humans and monsters as they join forces to thwart the schemes of an interstellar alien alliance's invasion of Earth.[20]

  • Ultraman Campus (超人集中营): To become stronger, the Ultra Brothers decide to participate in the classes of the Interstellar School. Together with their fellow Earthling and monster classmates, they join forces to overthrow the alien empire, who plan to place the universe under their rule.

To counter this, the alien alliance attempt to capture the Earth by using the other planets, but the Solar System Guard foils their plans over and over again.

Ultraman Comic Ep.1

Ultraman Comic Ep.1 is a comic reader app created for iOS and Android, developed by DWEB and licensed by UM Corporation (UMC). It is the story of the first episode of Ultraman, Ultra Operation No.1, retold in a 3D parallax comic with SFX, BGM and interactive elements, and can be read in both classic and modern modes. It was released in 2014 for USD$2.99.[21]

Ultraman AR

Ultraman AR (宇宙英雄AR, Yǔ zhòu yīng xióng AR, lit. Cosmic hero AR) is an AR game created for iOS, developed by Zhijian Animation Technology and licensed by T.C. Ruishi.[22] Characters from the classic shows can be summoned into the alternate reality space by scanning special cards obtained through a Ultraman snack collaboration campaign, and can be made to duel with each other in a turn-based Rock-Paper-Scissors-style battle or be displayed for collection.

Ardent Ultra Hero AR Series

Ardent Ultra Hero AR Series (热血奥特超人AR系列, Rè xuè ào tè chāo rén AR xì liè, lit. Hot-blooded Ultra hero AR series) are a series of trading cards that work with an AR game licensed by T.C. Ruishi. By scanning the special AR cards, players can summon heroes and monsters with unique attributes, and have them fight against each other in an automated battle.

Besides the usage of characters not from the first six Ultraman shows e.g. Tiga, Hotto and Ultra Dark-Killer, the AR card game also introduces recolored skins and golden armored variations of classic Ultraman characters. The series has been rebranded under other alternate titles:

Ultraman Figure AR Series

Ultraman Figure AR Series (闪扑奥特曼玩具AR系列, Shǎn pū ào tè màn wán jù AR xì liè) is a line of two-pack figure sets manufactured by Guangzhou Flash Culture Media Co. Ltd. (广州市闪扑文化传媒有限公司) and licensed by T.C. Ruishi. These sets came with a special card that when scanned generates a 3D model of one of the classic Ultraman heroes. The project was conceived in 2014.[23][24]
