1. Man Through the Wall (壁ぬけ男, Kabenuke Otoko)

Synopsis: A mysterious figure claiming to be the phantom thief King Aladdin has announced the theft of the golden Kannon Bodhisattva statue. Despite stringent security measures, the thief appeared and vanished into the wall along with the stolen statue. An investigation by SRI revealed that the culprit is the genius magician Harumitsu Ittettsai. The motive behind this crime, perpetrated by Harumitsu, who once captivated an entire era, remains to be unveiled...

2. Man-Eating Moths (人喰い蛾, Hito Kui Ga)

Synopsis: A human figure melting into scales falling from swarming moths—. Blastomyces, once rampant in the American West, is detected from the skeletal remains of a decomposed body. Misawa becomes convinced of the crime based on information obtained from an old acquaintance at Mars Motors, but he ends up being captured by the criminal group. Within the hideout where he's been abducted, a large number of moths are being kept.

3. White Face (白い顔, Shiroi Kao)

Synopsis: Junoko Mizukami, an office lady, has a father who was a physicist and a world-renowned authority on lasers, but he suffered facial burns in an accident and concealed his face, leading a reclusive life. When men around Junoko begin to die mysteriously one after another, and it's revealed that the crimes involve the use of laser beams, SRI attempts to meet with Junoko's father...

4. Fearful Phone Calls (恐怖の電話, Kyōfu no Denwa)

Synopsis: One night, a call came to the Takiguchi household. Reiko answered the phone for her father, but in an instant, her father's body burst into flames, turning into a charred corpse! Later, another spontaneous human combustion incident occurs right before Reiko's eyes. Maki confines Reiko to an anechoic chamber for intense interrogation. Unable to bear it, Misawa takes Reiko outside, but at that moment, Maki's intuition leads to a decisive conclusion!

5. The Grim Reaper's Lullaby (死神の子守唄, Shinigami no Komoriuta)

Synopsis: On a deserted night road, a black figure aiming a gun at a woman fleeing from pursuers. A flash emanates from the gun, and the woman's body becomes frozen solid! Radioactivity is detected from the victim's body, and it's speculated that Spectral G-rays, still a mystery in the scientific world, were used in the crime. Misawa realizes that the lyrics of a hit song sung by Kyoko Takagi match the circumstances of the murder.

6. Vampire Hell (吸血地獄, Kyūketsu Jigoku)

Synopsis: Nina, presumed dead in a car accident, resurrects as a hideous-faced vampire. Nina wanders the streets at night in search of prey. Attacking a patrolling police officer, she drinks plenty of fresh blood, transforming back into the beautiful Nina. Upon learning of this, her lover Shusaku seeks out new victims for Nina, who experiences seizures craving blood...

7. The Woman With Blue Blood (青い血の女, Aoi Chi no On'na)

Synopsis: Misawa, who had been rekindling his old friendship with his longtime friend Onijima at his house, ended up staying the night there. However, someone attacked him while he was in bed! Immediately afterward, a passerby salaryman on a nearby street was attacked and killed by a doll with a knife concealed in its hand. Misawa, with injuries from the attack, finds himself being interrogated instead.

8. The Shining Street Killer (光る通り魔, Hikaru Tōrima)

Synopsis: Housing Authority employee Yoko was escorted home by her superior, Shimizu, and returned to her apartment. Shimizu persistently inquired about their missing colleague, Yamamoto, when suddenly a phosphorescent object attacked. Shimizu eerily illuminated before succumbing. Maki suggests the appearance of a phosphorescent human, but the Metropolitan Police Department concludes a crime involving sulfur dioxide gas and proceeds with the investigation. Subsequently, Yoko's fiancé is also approached by the same entity...

Synopsis: While on a tour, a couple witnesses the phenomenon of a "strolling head" at the mountain pass. Terrified, the man on the motorcycle, fearing for his life, swerves off the road and crashes into a tree, igniting in flames. Subsequent similar accidents occur, but they are revealed to be orchestrated by Hoshino, the sole survivor of one such incident. Pretending to be the tragic protagonist in the shack where the bodies are brought, Hoshino is confronted by the man who discovered the accidents...

10. Radio Waves Summoning Death (死を呼ぶ電波, Shi o Yobu Denpa)

Synopsis: Looking forward to watching a boxing match on TV, Muraki turned on the television. Suddenly, the channel changed automatically, and a beam emitted from the gun of a man projected on the TV screen, causing Muraki's death. SRI launches an investigation, but danger also looms over Muraki's father.

11. The Jaguar's Eyes Are Red (ジャガーの眼は赤い, Jagā no Me wa Akai)

Synopsis: Taro and Kenji, brothers, put on sunglasses handed to them by a person dressed as Ultraseven after a baseball game. Before their eyes, the view of the Grand Canyon unfolds, but when the eyes of a jaguar inside a cave glow red, Taro's figure disappears.

12. Fairy Tale of Fog (霧の童話, Kiri no Dōwa)

Synopsis: A young man, pursued by a fallen warrior from the Warring States period, falls from a cliff and sustains serious injuries. Misawa, visiting the village of Onimura for an investigation, befriends a boy named Kenichi. This village has a legend of fallen warriors passed down from ancient times. The village is in turmoil due to a national highway project and the construction of a factory by a major American automobile manufacturer.

13. Gallows of Ice (氷の死刑台, Kōri no Shikei-dai)

Synopsis: There was a man who woke up in an old, deserted building. Rising from the cultivation tank, he left the laboratory and encountered an old man whom he strangled to death. Furthermore, he approached a young woman on her way home and shocked her to death. Maki, noticing that the mark on the murdered old man's neck is frostbite, speculates the possibility of Frozen Human.

14. Good Night (オヤスミナサイ, Oyasuminasai)

Synopsis: Yuki and Ryu were having a private party at a mountain hut in late autumn. However, when Yuki playfully threw a feather ornament, it accidentally pierced Ryu's chest, causing his death. Lost while out hunting, Maki happened to visit the hut and was offered to stay overnight. As Maki fell asleep, he was plagued by nightmares.

15. 24th Year of Revenge (24年目の復讐, 24-nen-me no Fukushū)

Synopsis: Late at night in Yokosuka Port. American soldier Joe is suddenly dragged into the sea and drowns by someone who emerged from the water. Along with Chieko, who was at the scene, Maki disguises himself as an American soldier to lure out the culprit. However, a suspicious man with a gun appears before Maki and Chieko. The man hits Maki with the gun and then disappears into the sea...

16. Kamaitachi (かまいたち)

Synopsis: A woman, feeling someone's presence behind her after getting off the train. Suddenly, accompanied by a roaring sound, a gust of wind attacks her, tearing her body apart. Later, a second murder occurs at the same scene. It was a crime committed while the police officers who were asked for help briefly looked away. It is speculated that the weapon was not a blade, but rather a phenomenon resembling a "kamaitachi" occurred...

17. The Phantom Grim Reaper (幻の死神, Maboroshi no Shinigami)

Synopsis: As night falls over the Seto Inland Sea, enveloping it in darkness, a sightseeing boat glides through the tranquil waters. Suddenly, the surface of the sea ahead froths with countless white hands, beckoning to the passengers on board. Following this eerie phenomenon, a gigantic female ghostly figure appears. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, there is an incident where the necklace of international actress Barbara, who is visiting Japan, is stolen by mysterious white hands. Suspecting a connection between the incidents, SRI initiates an investigation.

18. The Dead Whispers (死者がささやく, Shisha ga Sasayaku)

Synopsis: Akinobu and his new wife Sumiko, on a sightseeing trip to Izu, discover a man's body washed ashore. Akinobu tries to enjoy the rest of their vacation, but eerie whispers and the phantom of the murdered man appear wherever they go. Then, a detective shows up with an arrest warrant. Seeing Akinobu flee while shouting his innocence, Misawa senses a grave error in the police investigation.

19. Bat Man (こうもり男, Kōmori Otoko)

Synopsis: As the SRI members prepare to leave, they are attacked by a large swarm of bats. Helpless, the members hear the sound of a whistle, and the bats fly away. Misawa witnesses a figure in black and promptly returns to the room, but the man is already gone. Tekiya finds a stuffed bat and a card with "119" written on it on his desk.

20. Murderous Circuit (殺人回路, Satsujin Kairo)

Synopsis: President Seigoro Kamiya of Kamiya Trading, seeking a solution to save a subsidiary, asks his computer. The response: "Your life will end in 30 seconds," and just as predicted, he passes away. Ito, a candidate for the next executive at Kamiya Trading, claims to have seen the ghost of a woman wandering around the company. What's more, she resembled Diana, a woman depicted in a painting in the president's office, who was also a potential executive at Kamiya Trading.

21. Beauty and Pollen (美女と花粉, Bijo to Kafun)

Synopsis: Maki and Saori were in a café when suddenly, a woman, who was on a date with her lover in front of them, turned completely black and died. It was determined that the cause of death was a type of suffocation where the pigment was destroyed, and the skin could no longer breathe. The second incident occurred at an exclusive club, narrowing down the suspects to three individuals. However, while tailing one of the suspects, Saori was unexpectedly captured instead.

Synopsis: A red sports car, emitting a large amount of exhaust gas, overtook the following car. Suddenly, the following car went out of control, causing a series of accidents. The next day, Misawa stopped at a gas station only to have his Tortoise stolen. Then, the red sports car from the previous night appeared and overtook the Tortoise. Subsequently, the Tortoise went out of control...

23. The Cursed Jar (呪いの壺, Noroi no Tsubo)

Synopsis: A strange incident occurred in Kyoto. An elderly person peered into an antique jar on the veranda and was instantly blinded, leading to their death. Upon receiving a request from the Kyoto Prefectural Police, members of the SRI, along with Inspector Machida, visited the forensic department of the prefectural police. Before them appeared a young man named Hino. He revealed that all the victims were clients of his antique shop.

24. Mad Humans (狂鬼人間, Kyōki Ningen)

Synopsis: One evening, Yukiko, wearing a crazed smile, committed murder. Although she was arrested due to severe mental illness, Article 39, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code stipulates that "the acts of the mentally ill shall not be punished." Just two months later, Yukiko was discharged from the psychiatric hospital as her mental condition improved. Similar crimes were committed by other psychiatric patients, who were also soon released. The police and SRI found this series of events suspicious and began to investigate.

25. I Will Buy Kyoto (京都買います, Kyōto Kaimasu)

Synopsis: An incident of Buddhist statues disappearing at a temple in Kyoto occurred. Maki visits Dr. Fujimori, an authority in archaeology, and meets his assistant, Miyako. That night, Miyako is seen distributing flyers in entertainment districts with the message "I Will Buy Kyoto". She expresses her desire to buy the capital city from those who do not appreciate the beauty of the Buddhist statues. While sensing a connection to the disappearance of the statues, Maki finds himself drawn to her.

26. The Snow Woman (ゆきおんな, Yuki On'na)

Synopsis: Saori receives an invitation to a hotel from her friend Akiko, but the sender is unknown. With support from the members of SRI, Saori and Akiko decide to stay at the hotel. In their room, they find a mysterious painting of a snow woman. Soon, as danger approaches Akiko, a gigantic snow woman appears on the horizon!
