Naoto Sho (翔 直人, Shō Naoto) is the main protagonist of the series Gridman the Hyper Agent. A kind-hearted boy who loves computers. After the attacks by Kahn Digifer began to occur, he was contacted by Gridman and sent the transformation device known as the "Acceptor".

Personality[]

Naoto has a quite relaxed, passionate, and cheerful personality, always with a bright smile and a strong passion for protecting the peace of the earth. He cares deeply about his friends Ippei and Yuka, especially having a closer relationship with Yuka. Although they sometimes joke around with each other, in reality, they both secretly have feelings for each other.

Despite having some computer knowledge, he performs poorly in his studies. However, if he studies seriously, he can make progress in his grades. In addition, sometimes Naoto shows a mischievous and playful side, displaying the same interests as other teenagers his age.

Naoto is a second-year junior high school student at Sakuragaoka Junior High School. He comes from an ordinary middle-class family of four, including his father Souichirou, who works at a cable TV company, his mother Michiko, and his younger brother Daichi. He has a very good relationship with Yuka and Ippei, and the three of them have established a secret base in Ippei's basement. They focus on collecting used parts to assemble a computer called "Junk," and spend their days researching and developing it.

Transformation[]

By pressing a blue button on the Accessor and shouting "ACCESS FLASH!", Naoto would be sent into the 'Computer World' and merge with Gridman to fight in the Computer World against the monster viruses sent by Takeshi and Kahn Digifer.

Naoto's attire is changed to a blue jumpsuit and he gets sucked into the computer where he connects with Gridman and becomes one with him before entering the fray.

Powers and Weapons[]

  • Acceptor (アクセプター, Akuseputaa): The bracelet-shaped item given to Naoto by Gridman. Normally, Naoto wears the bracelet on his left arm. When an event occurs or a monster appears in the computer world, the bracelet emits a G Call sound to summon Gridman. In addition, the bracelet can also be used as a communication tool. To avoid interfering with the tool, Naoto usually wears a watch on his right arm.
